Thanks Russell :)

I DO have a cheeky request of folks, though.

If anyone finishes their catalogue shopping for the day and has any spare slots to send gifts to others, could folks send me BOOKS?

I have started building a library, and for some reason thought I’d bought bookcases, but I haven’t. I went to buy bookcases and realised I don’t have them catalogued and only have two books, and they take five each!

Indeed, even better if someone has a book for sale so I can nip in and buy 20 or 30 of the things, that’d also be great.

Ah i am building a library too.. converting my son’s house since he stopped playing..

Not sure how much I'll be around today, but at least it's an alternative place to do the bug-off if you prefer. :)

I went to Harv’s island and invited all of my Squirrell Friends. It’s going to take about a month to invite them all to Sheppey.

Reminder that I have all the buyable KK Slider songs out for cataloging
please let me know if you are interested
and also if you are not interested, because if no-one is fussed then I can clear it away and put them back in my jukebox :D

You pick up the items and then you drop them again, and because you have done that you can then order them at the nookshop (you know, in the machine in resident services)
it doesn't work for diy items or nookmiles items or other special items, but all other items once you're held them in your inventory, if only for a second, you can order them later
instead of having to wait for it to ever show up in the nookshop special or nooks cranny or fall out of a tree or some such

In this case I have put out 90 songs

But I could also put out all the gnomes (as item leaves) or the icecreams I have or something else

Thank you so much for the moon boots, Jem! I’m now a full astronaut :DD

I don’t suppose anyone here happens to have the office desk (or den desk, or basic teacher’s desk) in a dark-ish wood or dark colour? I want something for my library checkout desk, but all my desks are white, and my library is dark classic colours. I thought I could use an ironwood cart and an ironwood dresser made in the dark wood, pushed together, but they won’t push together and one is taller than the other. Harrumph!

I have the dark den desk. I need to make a phone call in a sec but will send it across after.

ETA: have sent. I think they fixed the bug where nook shopping items were sent to friends straight away so assume you won't get it til tomorrow AM...

they dont move, they are the only one that doesnt fly off when you walk past, but they do fall off if you shake the tree or hit it (wrong) with your net

You did, sorry - I was in a rush and didn't acknowledge you (so rude of me). No problems at all :luv:

No, not at all. I just couldn’t remember if I’d even thanked you. I was really ill for a few days and only yesterday afternoon did I start to feel better and got better really rapidly after that, so I was in a bit of a boggle.

I know this is a silly thing to be asking... again... but if anyone finds their shop selling a book these next few day’s would you be kind enough to let me pop over and buy up another 30? I’ve razed my library to build it even bigger, and bookshelves take a lot of books!

Oh no, bad timing, I had 'book' in again yesterday :S

I'll let you know if it comes in again. I seem to get them a lot.

Thanks both. I thought I’d stocked up a load, but then realised the space I’d created was nowhere near enough to fit in tables, chairs, etc so have moved the campsite to extend the library. D’oh

Nope, I’ve just put the switch on and I’ve got a couple of books from you and one from @Kern, and a bookcase from you, so they’re still being sent quickly for now, anyway. Thank you both so very much. It’s taking me ages to pull this library space together but I think it will be worth it x x

Thank you for the statue @Miki ... I've been off the internet for a bit now as Manx Telecom had some piece of hardware blow up. We've been netless and it hurt. Fortunately, we're back now!

Normal post doesn't take a day, but when you order from nook shopping it does seem to (whereas it used to be instant between friends, but a day for your own purchases).

I received something sent via Nook shopping from a friend today in just minutes, so it may be dependant in other factors?

Thanks for opening, DM! I picked up a new recipe and bought the desk from Nook x

I did wonder if you might like that desk but wasn't sure if you'd already found something else suitable :)

I’ve got a desk for the front counter that Jem sent, but had been looking out for something suitable as a computer desk for a little public computer area, and it fit perfectly.

I thought there was a stand-up printer like the one in the town hall in-game as well, but I can’t see it in any guide so must have been mistaken :(
