Thank you so much! I think I’m going to try and make a rose trellis wall behind the bench that’s next to the little waterfall by my house, and the light wood looks a bit obvious. x

Nook Catalogue shopping items seem to arrive immediately if you send them to someone else.

Aw Miki, it is SO much better than the light wood. You can really see how much better it blends in.

I may tweak the rose pattern a little more for a bit more shadow, but Darwin wanted his go, but you can immediately see how much better the darker colour is.

There was a Radio 4 programme this morning about one comedian's obsession with 'Animal Crossing'. Whilst much of the material felt a little too familiar, I think I'd have rather heard more from the experts talking about game design, psycology, and economics rather than host.

It's turnip day, everyone!
Please please please can everyone let me know what prices they are getting and whether they're on track for a big spike?

I have invested our entire family's savings and Darwin's house fund into turnips and am already nervous.

Mine are up at 102. I can leave the gate open now if that's helpful to anyone. I might not be there though. I hope all is well with everyone today!

Are the golden roses rare then? I didn't even know they were a thing :D

If you pluck (don’t dig) the golden rose it’ll be worth 1,000 bells for each bloom. You can dig it up and move it. They usually come from a black/black rise hybrid watered with a golden watering can x

Mine seems not to disconnect if I have it connected to the TV, but it may also be in your console settings.

I don't have mine connected to the TV so maybe that's why. I'm in the habit of playing it on the device instead. I'll keep an eye on it as best I can.

Worth checking your power saving settings as the default is to turn the console off after a bit.

Also, it seems that my internet dropped while I was out, so I've reopened the gate in case it's useful for anyone.

My turnips were 90 this morning - didn't think to ask if anyone wanted to buy, doh. I am on track for either a small or large spike this week; hoping for a large as I've been tracking for weeks now and not had a single large spike!

Having spent the past couple of weeks trying to get my rocks to appear in a specific place (by covering my island in flowers :DD), the last rock finally popped up in the right place this morning. This does mean I have loads of spare flowers, if anyone needs any?

Finally got my first two green mums after two weeks or more of trying, too!

The only thing you need to re-enter straight away is your turnip price and what your pattern was last week (if you know)

Finally managed to find a Switch in stock last Wednesday and got this along with it. Having never played an Animal Crossing game before I wasn't sure if I'd like it but, wow, I almost haven't been able to put it down - the only thing that's made me stop is needing to wait til they finish building the house or shop, so I can see why people talk about it being so addictive. I was weirdly happy buying my first batch of Turnips today on the Stalk Market...

Hi cookie, I've also never played an AC game before, but

Does it really make a difference to the game to have different types of villagers? Because of miss 10yo we have only friendly looking folk, and I also prefer nice villagers, but now there is a snooty villager at the campsite
do you guys change villagers often? I haven't said goodbye to anyone yet, and there are two I would definitely like to keep forever

I tend to say goodbye to most that decided to move on, and then as soon as there is a accent lot go visiting Nook Miles islands until I find someone who seems sweet.

It probably makes a difference in terms of the things you see in their houses, and there are some recipes that I think can only come from a villager of a particular ‘type’ (snooty, jock, etc) but like anything that’s only a consideration if you want it to be. If there was ever a ‘there’s no wrong to play’ game, it’s AC.

The two that have left my island were the two I was least keen on. When they left, I put their posters up in my grotty room in a totally-not-serial-killer kind of a way.

I also have Sahara. She has white chocolates floor, which I’ve dropped at DM’s, and I’ve forgotten the wallpaper but will check in a bit.

I uploaded the rose trellis designs and two clothing pieces to Able Sisters’ machine.

Trust me to be optimistic. :S When I posted this, fluctuating was about 4% so I thought NO WAY would that happen for the 3rd week in a row, and yet here we are.

My daughter's prices are looking positive though...

based on two prices today trunip prophet gives me 80% chance of large spike
would be my first one since the game started :p

I asked Gigi in the campsite to move in, but apparently tom nook thought zucker wouldn't mind leaving and I dont think katie would approve

lovely new patterns mimi, katie has made a Princes Peach dress and crown hat, and a pink hoody with hearts and stars, and for me a Good Place Eleanor t-shirt (white with almost rainbow stripes)
she hasn't uploaded them but they are displayed at the able sisters and she is so happy when our villagers wear one of her designs

I popped to another island and brought coconuts back. Soon I will have coconuts and pear trees! And a long locust that I got.

My turnips are fluctuating this week with a best of 141 - i bought at 101 so if it gets to the high end of that i'll sell or if anyone sees a peak of over about 140 or 150 let me know

i do need to pop to DM's to drop off the large collection of fossil's I've amassed

Just been to Flump to drop off a few recipes not on Dimmers’ list, and Tad is crafting a pansy crown in the SW.

Our turnips are now on a 56% large spike, or 44% decreasing, or something, so will let you know if we get something good. Russell has invested heavily in the root veg, all our savings, as he’s been living in a shack :D

I still have 77,8% chance of a large spike, but ??

Jakey on Flump was crafting windflower fan so I posted it to Dimrill
and I put a few more recipes and fossils down, thanks DM for the fossil in the post, the friend who I asked it for is now complete, but it will help out someone else with her list so thanks!

@zaphod have you got a list of the fossils you're missing?
@thevision, have your girls completed the fossils or made a list?

My missing list :

Acanthostega
Australopith
Brachio Pelvis
Brachio Tail
Dimetrodon Skull
Diplo Tail
Pachy Tail
Parasaur Torso
Plesio Tail
Quetzal Torso
T. Rex Tail

I've ferried about 2 loads over to Flump so its fossil area is pretty full now if anyone else is still on the lookout for some

You wear it as a mouth accessory so it looks like you're chewing it.
