Yes, although right next to a path, so just in case I'll move it! thank you :)

I thought maybe I was due a spike in turnip prices today, but nope... a paltry 58.

Gate is open.

Might just come down to sheer numbers then - I've just checked and I've caught 3,417 so far.

I can’t seem to get to your island today, DM. I’ve been trying for around 30 minutes but it just says there is interference and somebody is using their nook phone :)

Oops.. I didn't realise having the phone screen up caused problems - I only opened it to check the fish count :D Should work now. :)

Cheers DM! I was looking for somewhere with hyacinth seeds as I was changing up my flower bags and your Nook’s Cranny had them in!

:) Have you see the new water flooring by the way? I thought it looked quite nice with its animated effect, so I crafted one and left it for anyone to nab.

Haha, yes, I nabbed it! I was going to try it in my bathroom. It’s mesmerising! I didn’t realise it had come from a recipe. Nice!

the flooring with the animated fish wallpaper together is amazing
would make an amazing meditation room

my turnip price went from 54 to 49 so anyone having something over 100 would be greatly appreciated this afternoon

Damn missed this due to stüffe. Hopefully tomrorrow will bring some ~100 bells so I don't lose too much.

My price has crept up to 99 this morning so maybe it'll go up further after 12 but it's not looking great.

Gate is open, but not too much to report. I got the scarecrow recipe so I figured I'd craft one of those. Oh, and caught another new fish after a day of endless bass.

Treasure hunt time, Jem! Open doors on my island!

The Mysterious Case of the Missing Melons!

One day Explorer Pevans was happily tending to his four prize watermelons named Nixon, Regan, Carter and Ford. He had high hopes for them winning Tom Nook's Inter-Island Prize Water-Melon Competition! He watered them all through the day, and before going to bed he sang to them the songs of his youth, staring at them head in his hands and dreaming about the fabulous prizes Tom might bestow on him for having - in his own humble opinion - the bestest melons around...

Attachment:
IMG_20200606_103141.jpg

Little did Pevans know as he settled into bed that night that the Fiendish Dr. Bones - jealous of his melons - had decided to play a mean trick and hide them around the island! "MUAH HA HA!" cried out Dr. Bones to no one in particular, "This will teach him for having better melons than I! He'll wake up and find them gone and the salty tears pouring in his eyes will blind him - he'll never find them before the competition starts!"

Attachment:
IMG_20200606_103135.jpg

The Fiendish Dr. Bones got to work, hiding the four big round green melons at various tricky places around the island. So sure of his victory over Explorer Pevans, he then decided to post taunting clues on the village message board.

Attachment:
IMG_20200606_102920.jpg

When Pevans awoke he made his way with happy anticipation to his little garden with his tape measure to see how much larger the melons had grown over-night. But there he was to find a shock - a shock I tell you! THE MELONS WERE GONE!

Attachment:
IMG_20200606_103151.jpg

Panicking he immediately ran down to the Village Hall to see if anyone else had noticed this calamity. There his eyes fell upon the notice-board and a taunting message from the Fiendish Dr. Bones...

Attachment:
IMG_20200606_103212.jpg

What horrors! Explorer Pevans immediately fainted - was revived by a passing villager - and fainted again.

Too shocked, upset and disheartened to find the melons himself he put a message of his own up on the board appealing for help, and the clues from a scribbled taunting note the Fiendish Dr. Bones had left at the scene of the crime.

Attachment:

IMG_20200606_103157.jpg

Blubbering and blinded by tears he then stumbled back to his village home and sat down on a chair by the beach, looking out to sea. His only hope lay in another villager - or visitor - finding them! Can you help Explorer Pevans by finding the four melons and telling him where they are?!

Folks, you know that spot for a seasonal item? Has anyone had anything other than the dark wooden surf board, surf board with pink flowers& green leaves, and blue electric fan?

Every day I’ve checked mine and DM’s towns and only seen those same three things.

Thankee, treasure hunt open to all, young and old. The four melons aren't hidden behind anything proper - and are merely partially obscured. They might take some hunting though so you'll have to scour the island good! My gates will be open through the day, but I'll be in the garden doing a bit of weeding and then off to my best buddy's to sit in his garden having a mutual 2m distance stare-out, so I'll be sat in my chair by the sea too disconsolate over my missing melons to respond to anyone. ;)

@pete, that's awesome!

@mimi, those three are the only ones I've seen, the wooden surfboard hasn't appeared in my shop and I bought the fan and flowery surfboard to see what would come next
the seasonal spot is very limited I think, like for a christmas tree and a few items per season
still cute :)

Great stuff, added Jem!

Just had to reopen the gates as my connection dropped - best laid plans of mice and men, eh? Should be fine now. :)

Sorry Jem, didn't realise my console was going asleep while I left it unattended. Turned the auto-sleep thing off now and re-opened, should be fine. xx

Excellent! That's one in the eye of the evil Fiendish Dr. Bones!

I think I'll do more variations on these in the future. Hey! If Animal Crossing can keep repeating the same thing again and again, so can I! :)

The wedding event was actually a little different today, I think it's a sequence thing as I played it every day but steve hasnt and he got the same as before, but I was asked to organise a party with a load of villagers
still pink and white themed wedding stuff like before and plonking it down still works, but a little different and I didnt get the opportunity to speak to cyrus and buy his stuff

If you talk to Harvey again he’ll let you back into the wedding shoot to get some more furniture for your crystals (or just get it tomorrow). I had the party guests one today, too!

My gates are open, BTW. Not that there is anything in particular happening today, but just in case anybody fancies visiting somewhere. I may be away from the game as I am trying to wrestle some pictures onto Flickr.

Yeah, I got the HHA letter and the Nook letter. There is more new seasonal (solstice) items in the Nook shopping app, so the letter wasn’t a mistake.

Really? That’s odd. Did you look in the seasonal tab? I have a solstice crown and a solstice jumper.

Do you perhaps have a new building development underway or some other event in your town today?

@devilman, I've been a bit bad because I don't understand the fossil plan I haven't been dropping off fossils because I don't know where to put them but it was so empty and now Ive put a flock of them at the top of your fossil field, I hope you don't mind
Also I love that you write the birthdays because I quickly got a gift for peanut before I came over and she was so happy :D I know it doesn't count towards the nook miles but it is so cute! I also went to Reneighs party the other day

Heh, that's ok - I'll sort it out later. :) I've been laying them out according to this which is from a list I grabbed online which roughly alphabetically but for each dinosaur with multiple parts, it seems to list them head to tail rather than alphabetically. I'd got quite a few built up but it seems someone grabbed quite a lot last week, so I'll just keep building it up again. Hopefully I'll get to the stage where I have a spare full set so that if anyone needs to cherry pick for their own collection, it'll be easy for them to do. Of course I'm stilling missing the one fossil in my own collection though :D
