I’m in the bath at the mo so difficult to type long text (and if I try to remember later I won’t) but this explains it simply:

My son has expressed an interest in exploring other islands. If anyone would be willing to swap friends codes with a very careful, but overly chatty 8 year old please let me know. :DD He's particularly in awe of your robot, devilman.

He's certainly more than welcome to add me. Might help me get rid of some of the spare recipes on the island :D Just let me know that I'm often not at the Switch, so to not expect an answer back much!

Also, the fish are certainly varied this month...

Jem feel free to give him my code as well, Im used to an overly chatty 10 year old ;-)
I just dont always open my gates as so many things dont work with gate open, but when gates are open everyone is welcome

I had such a fun day with all the new stuff! Good thing it was a day off!
I caught some new fish and I got a bit dizzy with all the times so it will please Dimrill to hear I made my own excel sheets for fish and bugs so I can keep track of things I'm missing and what times of day I need to be where
I haven't caught any shark yet, but I will go look on Flump tomorrow to see where they will live in the museum <3

Gate is open again. Turnip price is awful (40-something) but there's a nice train set in the shop today:

Caught another new fish too. Oh, and Leif is also around.

AH I'm in the middle of some serious terraforming and have FOMO now. Will leap on later to take advantage of some events.

I also have got Redd coming to my island now, so if anyone has any requests I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Is he still up for visiting islands? Thinking of making a little treasure hunt on mine for him. Details will be in a Beex post you can show him.

Yes, I am sufficiently bored to try to create entertaining Animal Crossing filmflam. :)

Hi Pete - yes I think he would love that, although he's gone to his dad's now and isn't back until Saturday AM. Are you around over the weekend? :luv:

Hi Jem, yeah I'll be around. I've made a little ploughed garden next to my house with watermelons (actually green varient beachballs that look close enough) so I might do a little photo-intro about a mysterious ne'er do well stealing my watermelons and hiding them around the island!

The odds on getting three lots of 99,999 from a money must be pretty decent as I'm two for two now.

So I was at a nook miles island just now but Wilbur did not give me the option of shipping stuff home or liquidating
I'm doing something wrong or this feature is not helpful if its only from Harvs island

Hmm, I don’t think it’s you, Miki. The Gamesradar article above says
Quote:
If you travel to another island using your Nook Miles or pop to Harv's island, Wilbur tells you Dodo Airlines is now "dabbling in item delivery and liquidation", which enables you to send all of the goodies you find back home to free up space for more, or sell them then and there to empty out your inventory.

The other articles I read on Monday said the same thing, but the ones Russell has looked at just now suggest it is only for
Items on Harv’s island, which means it is of very limited use, especially as the Alpacas ship most of the stuff back to you.

I just went to a Nook Miles island to meet a potential new resident and you are right, I wasn’t offered any shipping facility either. Boooo.

Midge wanted to leave so I figured I'd let her go and then see if Olivia, the cat at the campsite would want to move in, but it looks like you can't do a straight swap when the island is full, so I guess I'll have a free slot tomorrow.

On the plus side though, two new fish

Only a couple of things to report - It's Reneigh's birthday (her house is in the upper-left if you want to pop by) and caught another shark last night too.

Celeste was on my island last night and gave me the recipe for it so I figured I'd make two. :)

I have only ever got the astrological series of recipes from Celeste. Is there a truck to getting the cool stuff, or is it just bad luck in my part?

How is everyone finding the Llama wedding task? I seem to have just had two tasks repeated.

So,
June 1st: ceremony in pink and white
2nd: reception in pink and white
3rd: ceremony in pink and white
4th: reception in pink and white

Is everyone getting the same tasks or is it random?

I'd assumed they were only available from her. I did toy with the idea of opening my gate last night to see if anyone else wanted to visit her but it was after 11pm so I figured not many people would be around. Without checking, I think I just have the spacesuit, flying saucer, taurus bath and gemini closet (I think?) but I'm happy to craft any of them if needed.

Devilman thanks again for the flying saucer! I do have a recipy for the moonlander from celeste as well which I built if anyone wants me to craft it for them!

Mimi, the wedding event has been exactly the same for me and I noticed steve and katie could also do it so I played it as them as well every day and it's exactly the same so now I just plonk down 16 items from the wedding section take the picture, she waves, I get 11 crystals and an item and I leave
not very romantic and extremely repetetive, but hey ho
if anyone wants me to buy wedding stuff at the end of this let me know because I will be doing it dutifully and the list of items you can get from reese has grown longer so I'm saving the crystals till the end

Yeah, they are just from Celeste, I think, but I wonder what determines if she gives you the astrological series or the space and stars themed things, as I prefer those but have only ever been given the astrological series. Perhaps it’s just random.

Ooh, Russell read something about thus @Miki, and it’s recommended you don’t save the crystals until the end as Reese will only make you a certain number of trades a day (it may have been three, or five... @mr russell, do you remember?) so if you don’t spend them as you go along you might not be able to trade them all in.

I've had a lot of other stuff from Celeste, but I've only got three astrological recipes. Aries, Taurus and Gemini. I'm guessing those drops are related to the dates of the horoscope gubbins.

Looks like I'm locked into the bleakity-bleak decreasing trend. 97-95-85-82-77-72-67-64 and the Turnip Prophet holds out no hope for my 100k investment in turnippy goodness. If anyone has good bell fun I could take advantage of, please let me know! :S

I was offered 138 just now. Will keep my gates open for an hour or so but probably won't be able to chat.

Haven't been tracking the price this week.

Righto, thanks Kern matey, I may mosey on over in half an hour. As I bought at 107 it wouldn't be a large profit, but may be wise to take a safe course, I guess.

Thank you for sending the parts over for it, but you really didn't need to. :) I've used them to craft another one anyway and left it on my island, including some other bits like an inflatable sofa, studio spotlight and underwater flooring if anyone wants them.

Also, another fish :)

My prices have dropped to 73 this afternoon.

I’ve done quite well with the fish, though I’m not in any rush. I think I have four to go and managed to catch three great whites in five minutes yesterday. I’ve got all the bugs (finally caught that fly!! I was so glad to pack away the trash heap last night).

I missed some turnips from last week so managed to get the fly on Monday straight away, but no sign of any ants yet. It is the rotting turnips that bring the ants, isn't it?

@Devilman, I thought you could choose if you wanted to keep the star bits or make another person happy:)
fingers crossed for underwater flooring!!

I have worked hard on fishing so of all the fish available today I am only missing the Barreleye (still, because of the eveningness I guess) and the whaleshark
I have however not seen any of the non-green beetles and for as long as I have been playing this game I still havent seen a spider

Yes. I had nothing but ants. Line after line after line, but the fly took AGES.

Is your turnip on the grass (not beach?). I THINK ants only appear on grass.

Honestly don't know how you do it with the fish devilman. I have sod all luck with them. Spent about an hour fishing on Monday, caught about 40 bass and not much else.

I do enjoy the fishing (which is why my bug collecting is rather lacking!) and as crafting bait is too time consuming, I just use the time saved by not crafting any to just traipse up and down the beach till fish spawn. :)
