I had Gulliver on the island at the start of the week. Not seen Redd in ages though.

I had Gulliver the day after devilman but also not seen Redd, which is annoying as I want some sort of statue or similar for my island.

Unrelated & just out of interest, how long do your games take to load? Mine takes FOREVER lately and I wondered if it was related to how much stuff I have on my island.

my island has mostly trees and flowers but it also takes ages to load and to save and quit

I had loads of boxes with bugs waiting to sell to Flick and I had a 4star rating
then I got my attic and saw that my house storage was huge so I put all the Flick bugs in house storage to get rid og the eyesore
went back to 3star rating
so apparently it's quantity over quality in terms of putting things around your island :DD

I saw Gulliver and Wisp and Redd last week, but have been waiting for CJ and Flick for well over a week
Next time Redd is on the island I will give a shout

Haven't noticed any change in loading times here but my island isn't overly packed.

Gate is open

Saharah is here again

I have Leif over today but have only seen Redd on that very first day. I think I had Gulliver over some time last week.

I haven’t noticed particular problems with loading times, but I guess it’s relative. You might find the loading times on my island excessive and I just don’t notice.

@dimrill There’s a kitchen island in my town today. I am sure you said you were after one but the previous was in the wrong colour. This is the one that is available today (sorry, forgot to get a screenshot earlier).

Ah!! I’ll keep an eye out.

@devilman I popped by your island to find Sahara in the hope that she might have the cafe curtain wall wallpaper I was after, but not today. Picked up a recipe and a piece of furniture for Darwin, too, and dropped off a couple of fossils x

I remember seeing that you were after that wallpaper, so every time Saharah appears, I buy a wallpaper on off-chance that it's the right one (with it being one purchase per visit) but no luck today either :)

Thank you darling. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

I’ve made something a bit fun today. Well, I think so. I bought this mug a while back, because I :luv: Brewster, and today I designed one in game.

I love the little design tool. I wish it had touchscreen input with a little stylus, like the DS version, but it’s a small grid, which has its advantages and disadvantages.

I meant to post the code, as I thought someone (Rick?) had a Brewsters Coffee stall.

@romanista not specifically for a sign, no. I actually made it just for my coffee mug, because it tickles me to have my real-life things that I love in the game, but it could go on anything.

As seems to be the norm, it's raining on Flump again this morning. Kicks is around too.

One of the fossils I needed has turned up though, so I'll update my list on the other thread.

I love rain! It never seems to rain on my island, and it did briefly yesterday. I caught six fish and three were ceolacanths!

I popped by, bought a wardrobe, dropped some bits off at your gate.

My gate is open, too x

Can someone explain to me how you get the "second house"? Is it a second player on the game, and does the house scale alongside the main house?

Internet search is only yielding whiny Reddit threads about how secondary players can't trade bugs for recipes.

Yes, a secong player. So, someone with a Switch profile starts the game up as themselves, and they have an opportunity to move to the island.

They get their own tent, which them upgrades to a house when they collect the Nook miles as you have done, then they pay off mortgages to upgrade to a larger house just as you have done, but on their own independent timescale.

For example, my husband and son each recently started playing. My little boy is on his starter sized house, whereas @mr russell has a slightly larger first room.

My girl is also a second player and I mostly finance her upgrades. She does get her own money tree spot every day and apparently also a money rock and a supply rock, evn if I have bashed all 6 rocks already, but as she won't listen to my advice about rock smashing that doesn't yield much in our game :p

Oh no!

I still have a big bunch of recipes on mine but I keep missing people online. Maybe I should do what everyone else does and drop them off with DM :DD

I don't think I've even seen a scorpion yet.

Gate is open again:

(I already bought the dartboard... I guess that means I can order them for other people now?)

Flick is on the island today too.

I probably won't bother with turnips again after this week. I have paid off my final loan and have some money in the bank, it just seems unnecessary stress after that!
