My sister keeps getting tons of pink and blue flowers from Miles islands and all I'm getting is pears and regular pansies. :'( #jealous

Talking about flowers, I put my special hybrids next to my house, but Nook is expanding my house tonight (to add a third room) and I’m a bit worried that it might make the house bigger and squash my flowers. Should I dig them up and re-plant them out of the way for now?

A productive day of getting all the stuff needed for the three new residents' houses. Then treated myself to some new clothes :)

Woah. Serious threads Pump-Jockey-Man.

I've just realised my character is dressed exactly like the shy lad from My Neighbour Totoro. This may be a subconsious thing.

Will I ever see bald head and beards in this game, though?

I have Mabel in town today. She says she wants to open An Shoppe but needs to build up a client base first. I bought a hat.

Over the last 2 days I've spent half a million bells on fancy bridges.

Everyone in my town is talking about shooting stars and meteors being visible tonight, so hopefully I’ll have something fun happen.

I asked my sister and she said:

"The house doesn't allow you to put anything within its needed footprint for expansion"

So I think you're OK??

Fab. I did notice it had bushes either side, so thought they’d perhaps be what was taken over by the house, but wasn’t sure.

I just bought a recipe for a fountain for 8,000 Nook miles, and then the cheek of it telling me I had to buy another recipe as an ingredient for that recipe.

I wasn't going to bother with the custom design stuff as I'm not exactly arty, but I like the editor, so I gave it a go.

Everybody on the island has been talking about the meteor shower all day. I have been watching it and have made a few wishes (looking like Liz Lemon, here). I hiked Celeste would be about but she’s nowhere around. :(

Guys, there’s a tiny little beach on the very back of my island that you can climb down to! Edit: And a couple of rocky outcrops a little further along. You can fish from them with bait

So, my birthday tomorrow on the magical March 28th! I don't know what party Tom Nook has planned for me, if any, but I'm sure it'll involve for example baking me a cake, giving it me, and then demanding 40,000 bells or something for the sponge, icing and candles. Anyway, who wants to come round to mine for a birthday party? Say at two o'clock in the afternoon? I'll leave my gate open for two hours and you can all come around and mingle. Crack open a beer or a cuppa in real life, rock up to the beautiful backward paradise that is Haven and mingle. Which reminds me, I must download that Tom Nook chat app, otherwise I think I'll go insane. :luv:

1400 hrs, is 13hrs here, i try to come too

Updates here, isabelle arrived , and mabel want to open up shop for good, yes!

https://twitter.com/romanista/status/12 ... 5514114048

We're living with 3 on an island here... Interesting to see the dynamic... sharing resources is quite a challenge, but is ok, but as non island respresantive, you do lose out on a lot... i try to evolve them in the decions (where the next bridge, where the camping site), but still..

The mother of my kids now got it too for them, and mason graciously allowed her to be team captain, but it was a bit sad to see that he couldn't;t contribute directly to e.g. the Nook's cranny, but only by leaving some resources on my daughter's doorstep...

I do appreciate the design decision to make it one island per switch, giving it more sense of a place, and fostering teamwork.. but they could have allowed the other inhabitants just a bit more initiative... (a ballot vote?).. some people review bomb the game because of it http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/0 ... w_horizons

For the string fish I went and collected about 25 clams, then I turned those into bait (if you keep repeatedly pressing A as you are crafting it speeds the animation up considerably) then went to the very uppermost river source and fished there. After about 20 fish I caught it.

Celeste visited me last week and gave the Wand recipe... probably you now have semester pieces (they land the day after meteors) , with the Recipe you can make he wand...

I do apologise if anybody was in my town when my internet connection dropped. I wasn’t looking at my switch as I was having a rest after a grocery drop, but when I looked my internet had faulted.

Im haviing fun
we have a bridge and the materials for 3 houses and one bear moved in today
also the Nook shop and the Mabel that sells clothes and the carpet seller came by and sold me the most hideous wallpaper of animated football stadium audience!
Ive also paid off my house and asked for the first extension
I have been gotten by spider twice and many many times by bees, is there any way to escape? or just take medicine afterwards?
I'm also improving my tree planting as many did not grow
I have a load of recipies, but Katie has hardly any as she only plays in little bits, I have made better tools for her and just left them for her, but is there a way to share my recipies with her?
my favourite things to do are fishing and picking up weeds

You just need to run into a building somewhere and they'll disperse. :)

Or quickly access your tool wheel or pockets as soon as they swarm, they’ll continue to circle until you close the menu, then swing your net and hope for the best.

I always have my net in my hands when I shake trees. Once a nest drops hold b and move 1-2 squares to the side, turn and swing. I get roughly 4 out of 5 of them that way.

The viewpoint doesn't help with those, either. I often get bitten when walking south as they're completely off the screen :S. I've managed to get 4 by creeping up to them and even then they'd done their jump animation and were about to strike. I'm going to thin out my trees so I can see more ground to help spot them I think.

I have a similar feeling about my camp resident, but I think he’s going to get a house anyway. I decided to just accept him and then complain to Isabelle a lot until he goes.

I've decided on a course of social exclusion. His house has been built on the highest land on my island with no route off the cliffs. Lets see if starvation and loneliness will drive him out.

Recently upgraded to Nook's Cranny. I don't think those pinnies suit Timmy and Tommy, and they look pretty risky if they venture outside when windy.

If you shake the tree from the front you'll automatically turn when the wasps drop, so don't need to move to catch them - just press A
