Ended up playing through it twice. Wonderful little game. Captivating. Strong Dear Esther vibes with much more story and *gasp* even some light gameplay!

Mario Kart 8 is a riot of colour and action, it's great fun and the bits where they go up walls or round corkscrews is really exciting. It's a great game that I am _very_ late to.

I have enough controllers for 4-player local splitscreen too. WHEEEEE

I’ve cleared a bunch of farms and villages of Mongols which doesn’t seem to be getting old yet. I’ll stand on the highest building and snipe guys with my arrows but sometimes I’ll just stand at the front door yelling “Come on, ya cunts” like a pisshead recently tossed out a pub. It’s got a bit easy though since a tooled up ninja mutherfucker is not to be fucked with. Imma take on crowds with bombs, throwing knives, blow darts or sometimes I’ll just pick the biggest guy and give him the old Dance of Wrath.

This game’s fucking great.

(Loving Jin Saki’s voice actor. There’s some real quiet passion and resolve in this role. The rest of the main characters cast are also really great. Especially that nutter Masako who wants to fuck errbody up)

Started playing Valheim today after a recommendation from a colleague.

It’s a survival simulator with a Norse mythology based plot line, and is in early access.

So far, despite not really enjoying this kind of game historically, I’m having a blast.

Or at least, I was - up until the point that I summoned the first boss and now he keeps murdering me and won’t leave the area, so I can’t get back to my gravesite to pick up my stuff without getting killed again.

Gaz has got me into Valheim and I'm really enjoying it, although I seem to be unfairly targeted by trolls which is making early game life somewhat difficult.

Jet Set Radio Future - seriously, this is still brilliant 20 years on.

Made my first boat in Valheim last week, went exploring, found a village on some meadows, tried to invade, got my ass handed to me by some Draugrs. Respawned a million miles away back at home.

Painstakingly re-mined copper, re-crafted armor/weapons, made a new boat, went all the way back. After picking up shit from my gravestone, I took out a bunch of Draugrs, tried to take the last building in the village only to accidentally drop through the roof right on to a Draugr spawn point where a Draugr Elite was waiting for me - and killed me on the spot. Guess who forgot to create a bed so that I had a nearby spawn point?
