One of the reasons I've barely played games since I moved in 2015 is because we moved to a wee fishing village with internet that runs like treacle. Well, today BT have confirmed we're ready for FTTP with speeds of up 900Mbps  Hopefully we'll be setup in a couple of weeks and we'll no longer have all of the fun sucked out of gaming by being killed by people who haven't even appeared on our screen yet! To celebrate, we've ordered MW and it should arrive today so look out for us online on Jen's tag Thespacegiraffe. Might be a few days before we can play though; it took three days of constant downloading to install Warzone! |

I think it forces you through the Activision account stuff when you first login - but if your in the game main screen hit options then R1 twice to take you to the accounts page then the activision details are the 3rd line down |

It tries to be too clever and make everything work with the activision account stuff only , but then you need to hit weird combinations of buttons to filter so it shows you other players and those buttons are not anywhere obvious (like where the cursor is) but are in one of the corners of the screen - it took me ages to work out some of the regiment stuff because its all hidden in a submenu somewhere |

Yip :-( I think i've only ever gone the other way (from a disc game to a download) but reading online it looks like yes its going to remove most of it - copy some old stuff from the disk which is way out of date and then redownload If your lucky its only the base game so not the whole 100 gig , but if your unlucky it will be |

Blood Bowl Two - it's blood bowl (a madly violent fight with a shade of American football) but considerably better than the last iteration. It is turn based sports strategy game, and I am rapidly learning the best tactic is to avoid risk. Some bits are annoying at first, like players just falling over because they ran to far and failed a dice roll, or being unable to pick up the ball for the same reason, but then one begins to enjoy the pratfalls and the referee running into the field to knock your player out just because. Plenty of teams, commentary is quite amusing, and graphics are ok. Worth £6. |

For a princely sum of $40 (that's roughly a crate [or 'slab' as they call it here] of 12 cheap bottles of shandy) I downloaded a few games to keep me busy. Ghostbusters remastered, Guacamelee 2, Octodad and Everybody's gone to the rapture. Should keep me busy for a while. I started with Guacamelee 2 as I haven't had much platforming fun for a while. Wow, it's a stylish and fun presentation and the first hour or so of gameplay felt pretty neat. It seems like a lot of the theme and the humour is done in an affectionate way but I'm not sure if it might actually be a bit offensive to some Mexicans... that won't stop me from enjoying it but did give me just a little pause. I'm looking forward to playing some more of this. |

Elite Dangerous for a bit last night. Currently mainly using a python shop, and have been running missions for The Empire to get bits and bats to modify my jump drive so I can go further and therefore make my trading more efficient. Considering removing my shields for extra cargo space, The ship is already mad slow and poor to move about, but I am working out the range. I got promoted to "Knight" recently, so a few more missions and I can get a faction ship to look cooler. Confirmed space pew pew kills is one. |

Well, Ghostbusters isn't great - the core mechanic of running around bumping into things, then shooting a sponge of a ghost for ages by holding down R2 until the ghost is weak enough to let you hold down R2 for even longer to try and grapple the ghost into the trap, isn't that much fun. |

Minecraft Dungeons is a fun little game in the hack-and-slash style of Gauntlet or Diablo. Was expecting it to be easy but there seems to be some depth to it. It actually reminded me a lot of The Chaos Engine in style and gameplay |

I don't think I ever made it past the second level as I was either shite or it kept crashing. But loved its vibe.
