I am surprised they didn't go in at an agressively low price.

I'm still pretty tempted, but I'm worried about the long-term support.

Google Wear was The Next Big Thing (TM) and Google Daydream was The Next Next Big Thing (TMTM) and they're both dead.

I wonder if their thinking is that an aggressively low price from the start will overwhelm them with users, so they're not really trying to go mass market until they have been running it for a while.

But yeah I agree the model as presented is probably not attractive to a mass audience.

I have to agree. The Xbox service makes more sense as it lets users access things that they already own. Add in cloud saving and I can see the appeal of moving from console to phone or browser.
