I've used Photobox before, they were decent. I think there's a ton of services with little to choose between them.

I usually Photobox for my printing needs, but I got the canvases hanging on my wall from https://www.canvasdesign.co.uk/ a few years back. I agree with Cras in that these services are all pretty similar.

Just don't get over excited when they are delivered and repeat my mistake of starting to slash away at the packaging with a penknife before swiftly realising that that's not really a good idea. Nothing was harmed, thankfully!

Don’t most of the main photo printing places use exactly the same industry standard printing machine, so are mostly interchangeable apart from price?

I’ve seen Asda and Tesco branches with photo print services (and Boots) with canvas printing, but YMMV and they aren’t exactly photography specialists.

If they're on the wall you also get the benefit of viewing distance.

I recommend scrutinising your pictures for any imperfections before ordering. I didn't pick up on a little splash of white in the corner of a photo I got blown up to 32 inches, only to see a very large streak on the final canvas. Only then did I realise that I'd taken the shot through a car window and had caught a bit of reflection.

Whitewall are pretty dang good, doing anything up to exhibition quality or archival paper. They're a bit pricey but have a great range of options.

For exhibition prints I've used Davis Photo ProLab down here in Cardiff, they're good and do delivery.

uk.whitewall.com

photoprolab.co.uk

If you want you can send me the files and I'll soft-proof them in Lightroom to make sure they'll print right, cure any dust spots or anything and send them back to you.

Nice! It's good that the photo is much better than the photo of the photo.

No where near as good as the photo of the photo of the photo of the photo, though.

I'd say it's as good as the photo of the photo of the photo of the photo of the photo, though.
