I'm at the end of my monthly train ticket, but have a few days off work this week, so i've bought a few advance singles to last me today and tomorrow and i'll kick off the monthly again next week.

I have two issues. Firstly, my train home it is impossible to buy a standard advance ticket, the only advance tickets you can buy are for first class. Advance standard out and first class home still saves me £15 over a standard return ticket bought on the day, but my trains are basic commuter ones, not fancy intercities or anything, so i'm paying an extra £7 to sit on a chair with a doily on the back.
Secondly, I forgot i'm out on the piss tomorrow night with some old colleagues, so i've bought a first class ticket I won't be able to use (it's for a specific train time). Obviously in my pissed up state i'm going to chance it and claim ignorance if I have to show it to anyone, or pretend to be asleep, or pretend to be Polish, or something.

Too fucking right! I don't feel as bad about the £7 now!
The train terminates at my station, so I can probably grab a few...

Motion rigs are a bit shit due to the lag. I wouldn't mind some Buttkickers to use with SimVibe though.

I thought the smallest house was on that bridge in Keswick?

Either way, I'm not going to Wales.

As long as ye pronounce 'ye' correctly in that context, it's fine.

It was a momentary peace in The Great Mousewar of 2018-2136. Combatants on both side went home to their families, to share with loved ones the momentary respite from the horror of the front lines.
Nobody expected what was soon to come.
We don't know which side was the first to poison the cheese, some believe it may have even been an accident, but the results were devastating. Kitchens were never the same, whole industries died, the mice sided with the Moo World Order and brought the bovines into the fight... it was a massacre.

Fucking hell I just turned on my telly and it's added a fucking advert onto the main source select bar that appears when you turn it on. (Like, a paid for advert that you'd get on a YouTube video or something.)

Cheers, Samsung.

It's gone now so maybe it's just a one time thing when the telly is turned on.

Even so, arseholes.

Yes, it is.

Mrs. W plied me with a new gin yesterday; not enough for a proper hangover, but enough for me to have to watch TV with one eye closed during the actual drinking session.

The decorating (only painting really) is likely to take place some time over the next two weeks, but I won't enjoy it.
