I've been working standby hours since Saturday and on Saturday, Sunday and Monday I had to go to Grange over Sands for scale repair jobs. Yesterday it was Windermere for a printer swap. Every time I've gone past Lancaster on the M6 I've wondered what the big domed building is, that's visible above the tree line in the west side, so I Googled it last night and it's the Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park.

First job today was a printer swap on Quermore Road, about two minutes drive past Williamson Park.

What was that weird cooking program on Prime that featured miserable naked women. Asking for a friend. (Genuinely)

Can’t really deviate from my route as the van is tracked and they’d class that as private mileage, which is not allowed, and time would be against me too, unfortunately.

You have to pay for it now (or, at least, you did when I last looked).

Craster and I watched it when it was free. It was bizarre.

It’s now predominantly white. So going in the right direction, albeit slowly.

The pay gap is still crap. However this year they’ve done away with the marital prefix for female players, so baby steps I guess.

Bloody hell, that was tense. And it's not over. Watched NZ's innings okay, but then neither phone nor wifi reception (in Panama) were good enough to show most of England's, so I got a picture or two of each ball, with the Guardian's OBO ahead of the result, before the pictures returned to show me reaction shots. Lots of guesswork. At least the tennis, (text) on another tab was taking long enough between games to be an only occasional distraction.

Bloody hell. As tweets elsewhere put it; England needed 15 to win off the last over. Then New Zealand needed 16 to win off the last over. England needed 3 off 2 balls, and got 2. NZ needed 3 off 2 balls, and got 2. Amazing.

Nope, I agree with you.* You're taught as a child about that kind of sense and safety. We had Bruno Brooks!

£1 million that could have been much better spent elsewhere.

He worked in the rail industry and had a lifelong interest in trains.
He knew whether it was safe or not so any signs were irrelevant.
