The barbers across the road has gone for a subtle and tasteful poppy display

I guess they wouldn't appreciate it if I went in and asked for a little off the top.

There's a roundabout near me with massive poppies on it. I'll see if I can get a pic next time I'm near it.

That reminds me.. I drove through Walsall today where there was a huge wall with hundred of poppies painted on it.

I was so busy looking at this, I didn't see the massive bolt in the road which is now nicely nestled in my tyre and stopping all the air escaping.

Huh, so here's some forum functionality I didn't know existed:

  • Click the Post Reply button to go into the proper reply mode (i.e. so you're not using the Quick Reply box that's at the bottom of every page)
  • You'll get a view of the last X number of posts in the thread in reverse order in the 'topic review' section at the bottom of the screen
  • Click and drag to highlight any snippet of text from any post in that section, then click the nearby Quote button
  • A quote will be populated into you reply consisting of only the snippet you've highlighted rather than the full post.

Just back from lunch and one of the topics of discussion was my friend's Greek girlfriend who has gone back over there for a holiday. Cue a few minutes of discussion about Greece. He pops to the gents so I check my Twitter feed and the very first ad is for Visit Greece'. More than a little disconcerting.

For some reason, our local carnival had a "Gettysburg" themed float. As soon as I saw it, I instantly thought "I bet Kern would not be impressed with this!"

Yeah, that's clearly Spotsylvania.

These days, it seems that whenever I order an item for next day delivery from Amazon Prime, it somehow gets updated on the day it should arrive and is bumped to the next day.

This is annoying as I'm paying for Prime.... Well, I say I'm paying for it, every time it happens I complain and they either give me a £5 or extend my Prime subscription by a month. I've had an extra 6 months of prime added so far which is good as it was originally supposed to renew in November, right before Christmas. It's now renewing in April.

Still annoying though.

I'm afraid I have to place the blame somewhere. Also, my post still hasn't turned up. I contacted the guy off eBay in Japan and he specifically said your name. He said "Myp has got it... ask him"

So there you go. Straight from the horses mouth.

As I was leaving the house today a little voice from my backpack said, 'Are you going to Rico?'

Sat Nav must have got bumped and turned on and it clearly know my daily sojourns too well.

As I was crossing the road to my vehicle the little voice said, 'You will arrive at your destination at 8.35.'

I had a little chuckle to myself.

I see they're shutting Reddit down today in the EU to moan about the EU copyright laws.

I considered shutting Beex down but I'm not sure it would have the same impact.
