Incidentally, my favourite James 2nd story is that when he was held prisoner as a child at the Duke of Northampton's place with his 2 sisters a plan was devised. They played hide and seek for 6 nights and on the seventh the guards couldn't find him. "he is really good at hide and seek" they said and went to bed and the alarm wasn't raised until the next morning. He had tricked his way into obtaining a key and then dressed as a lady and escaped by boat.

That's awful. Aboslutely nothing about it makes me pause and reflect. The Windsor Castle display a few years back, with the thousands of poppies pouring out over the walls, looked genuniely moving (I only saw pictures) and, as all art should, caused an emotional response in the viewer.

The 'weeping window' display round here has proven very popular

We went to see that. It was lovely.

I altered all the clocks in the house yesterday .... except my bedside alarm clock. I had to be up early today as I'm on-call from 7am, so planned to get up at 6.15, but having forgotten that I hadn't altered that clock, got up at 5.15. Now I'm ready to go back to bed.

Apropos of nothing, is it after taking cyanide or arsenic you drink copper sulfate to stop it acting?

All Robbie the Engine wanted to do was move trucks around on the island of Sodor. But his cunt of a brother who was no-one's favourite engine got the job first.
