You can do something silly as you do the "normal" thing to remind you.

Jump up and down while you put your deodorant on, or sing a daft song as you lock the door.

I've just learnt that the land bridge between Britain and the Continent that disappeared around 8,000 years ago is known as Doggerland and now I'm giggling like a schoolboy.

Well, Ok. Except, if you keep doing that, the silly thing becomes normal, right? So now you’re locked into a never-ending, always-escalating silliness war with yourself. Until once day you’re gargling bleach and tugging off an orangutang just so you don’t lose your keys.

Different plane / air disaster - however I'm sure I saw something on the BBC last night or this morning which was a very condensed version of the thing I posted above with just the TLDR type summary of the horrible bits

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
As in probably suicide by the pilot and killing everyone on board
That the plane was purposefully depressurized to kill all the passengers long before it crashed
That the local police / politicians / government have been covering things up

Anyone got any weekend plans? Borgo Brewery & Baking might kick something off on Saturday afternoon to keep the bins amused", other than that, and a three year old's soft play party it is shaping up to be quiet.

I’ve just seen DocG’s lightning photos elsewhere and it reminded me I wanted to ask about this photo.

What is happening here? Darwin is typing the word Tuesday, and the ‘e’ has appeared very faintly before the cursor moves along. Do types characters fade in very quickly rather than just ‘appear’, or is it due to the screen or... what? I just assumed you hit the screen and the letter appeared solid in the next instance.

I don’t have predictive text on my laptop, and if it did it would almost certainly say ‘Tuesday’ rather than ‘tue’, and capitalise it, surely?

This bird had a six METRE wingspan, and flew.

Can you even imagine that thing swooping overhead?

Last one: Argentavis. Sized between the previous two, but OMG there is a scale model

And to think, I was only googling Sesame Street characters.

I’m back! I’m up far too early, so for some reason I’m watching a video of Rory Stewart speak passionately in parliament for 13 minutes on the subject of hedgehogs, and now you should, too. https://youtu.be/vqTkLoekm_0

Genuinely interesting, but I’m really quite impressed at his level of research and also information retention as he rarely glances at his notes.

I've made a shed load of dosh for my employer today. One branch of our client has logged 17 pin entry devices as 'not reading cards.' Five of therm are working fine, and six can't be found in the store, so those are all chargeable calls. Mind you, I'm bored to tears with dealing with them, particularly as the 'intelligent' lighting plunges the room into darkness every fifteen minutes.
