I dislike the people who seem to view the 140-character limit as a mild inconvenience, casually stepping over it without a second thought by spreading their inane crap over several tweets. This isn't the idea.

@mollydotcom, I'm looking at you. And with my other eye, I'm scowling at a few others, too.

There a several different schools of thought as to what Twitter is for. I, for instance, have no remorse about breaking the character limit, and don't mind if other people do.

I don't mind it once in a while, but if I log on to find what is effectively an entire stando-blog post spread over many tweets filling an entire page, I get a bit peeved.

Twitter.

Meh.

Just another way for people to inflate their own sense of importance in this cess-pool of a world.

I object to sites that tweet regular updates that are 100-odd characters cutting off in mid-sentence with a URL to read the rest of it.

Yes. It's like someone sending you a text message that cuts off halfway through, appended with "…phone me."

Experimenting with a Second Account on Twitter, to make 'Skeptobot' a bit more on focus and not filled with chatter about nonsense.

http://twitter.com/DrLave

Now I just need an app that allows multiple log ins and isn't based on Adobe Air (AKA THE RESOURCE HOG).

Tweetie. It does require you to have an iPhone, though.

Stephen Fry earned his keep this morning talking about a mule ride up some godforsaken mountain in some far flung corner of the globe:

Quote:
After 3 hrs on board a mule, your humble tweeter's fesses and nates are tortured and tormented beyond hope... a testicle snuggled in each armpit vowing never to descend again: "that's twice and both times a disaster" ... Inner thighs more anguished and outraged than an Italian defender protesting innocence in the penalty box... Aside from feeling as tho I've been buggered by a train and stoned by a crowd of homo-hating fanatics, I'm tired & need a drink

I've gone the other way. Now I follow 130 or so people, Fry and Ross's frequent tweets are still just a small part of my Twitter reading, so they bother me less.

Oh wow. Blogo is great for Twitter. CraigG was 'write' on the money.

It sticks both feeds from Skeptobot and DrLave together seemlessly. Woo! Might stop following people on Skeptobot for neatness. Not sure yet. Please don't take offence if I do. :|

It's been that way for a couple of days now, which is pretty ballsy of them in the face of stuff like

Quote:
are we still doing skittles? because I moved on to starburst. that's the natural progression, yes? skittles being the gateway fruit candy

Quote:
Skittles make you gay. And not cool gay like on "Will & Grace". Actually have-to-have-sex-with-a-dude gay. *ANALLY*. #tcot #skittles

Quote:
Fun Fact: Skittles are made from aborted fetuses. As a result, all you Skittles lovers are automatically pro-choice. The More You Know

Quote:
Skittles stormed my village. All forced to work in the diamond mines. My son, a child soldier. Wife, I don’t know. Damn you #skittles

Quote:
ZOMG!! Skittles fit perfectly in my cat's anus! #skittles

Quote:
You know if you swallow your Skittles whole like I do, they pop right out the other end like corn kernels. #skittles

Surely an ideal opportunity to pimp uptojump/beex.

'Skittles saved my life say uptojump.co.uk founder'
'Free (pictures of) skittles at beteo.co.uk'
etc
