Major props to those who did cleaning and tidying, which is an underestimated and under appreciated task.

Great work by the Yes Chefs on the burritos, which were seriously good, even if Bobby doesn’t know how to eat them.

Various highlights included:

Captain Sonar, with a great victory for TEAM BOTE.

The Flamme Rouge World Championship, which ended in an incredibly close mass finish.

The Town actually winning a Mafia game.

Beex Drink!

AJ! Featuring DOUBLE SINGHAM ACTION!

Joans and his spectacular Codenames skills.

Codenames was so funny. I need to work on my poker face.

Sorry for the above individual quotes - too tired to consider replying to everything in one.

Fantastic weekend as ever and holding it's place as one of the highlights of the year for me.

Friday was fab, learning new games with Mali and Kern. Both Patchwork and Azul have been put on my Christmas wish list. Also thanks to Rich for ordering the pizza, you wouldn't think it would be such a difficult task - but it really cane be. Good judgement on the quantity too! Brilliant drinking game with lots of laughs and lots of unexpected twists and turns! Grim... went upstairs for the first time ever when playing hide and seek with Craster! Played our one and only game of Mafia that evening where people totally changed time (I am not always a bad guy!!).

Saturday continued in the same vein. Played Colt Express, almost won Flamme Rouge and Captain Sonar where Gaz managed to shock the whole room into silence. Played some Codenames too. Wouldn't mind a game of that on the forum sometime soon. ;) The Yes Chef!'s did a marvelous job as always and it felt really nice to see the team back together. The smoked pork had a lovely flavour to it. Curio mixed the quiz up a bit this year with different rounds (explains why I wasn't able to mark myself as attending on the calendar - typical it was the first year I'd remembered!). Excellent cockatailing by Jacket who deserved that win. We topped this off with playing The great Dalmuti until 4am. Amazing scenes. There must be a photo of Myp with his crisp packet hat somewhere I'm sure.

Sunday was a bit more subdued, although not for Singham! Betrayal at house on the Hill was good. Craster really does roll a higher than average amount of 1s and Grim... cannot be trusted to NOT unleash all of hell on us five minutes into the game. Also Jacket cannot be trusted to read rules by himself. :p Playing Last night on earth was good fun too, it felt like a nicely balanced game where anyone could win and it's a shame that we didn't get chance for another turn. Played a bit of Exploding kittens (Malc is some sort of expert) then Jurassic Games went on - it looked so bad it's good, but I couldn't take the pace so went to bed. I've brought it home with me though so will watch it and chuck it back in the Cottage box.

It was great to finally meet Wookie who is an awesome laugh and just jumped right in with everything. Same goes to Mrs Jacket.

Thank you to everyone who brought cake, Jem's Biscoffee cake was amazing.

Apologies if I have forgotten someone or something, I'm sure a lot of things will come back to me over the next few days - we just packed so much in!

A big thank you to everyone for simply being so awesome. Same time next year? :)

Now that I've fully returned to the real world (and before I leave for Portugal tomorrow morning, woo!) I've decided to offer a few highlights of my memories of the weekend.

* The drive down and back was much improved by having An MaliA in the shotgun seat. He fed me wine gums and talked about fish orders. Much better than Radio 2
* Watching Myp Lonewolves playing Postman Pat on the 'Amiga' as practice for his new job was hilarious! He was playing for 20 minutes before he realised he was on HARD MODE.
* Coming back from fetching a beer during Beex Drink to be met with a serious-faced Jem demanding to be picked up. Most unexpected :)
* Almost disabling MrLilChef by opening a door that he was currently speeding towards. Sorry, Dan!
* Setting up dualling Technohats with Mr Dave and watching Kov operate a virtual wrecking ball for the best part of an hour.
* Helping the mighty TEAM COZY to the their rightful place as QUIZ CHAMPIONS. We had an exceptionally broad range of knowledge in our team. And Craster.
* Being forced to dance like a cheap chippendale for two people who KNOW WHO THEY ARE.
* The Vision singing GOLD! like Black Country pop star.
* Grim...'s "nope" when looking for a hiding place behind the sofa.
* And many other moments of pure hilarity and excellence.

I really enjoyed the challenges I did in the drinking game - particularly the one where myp and I had to name forum thread titles, that was unexpectedly thrilling ;)

I'm gutted beyond measure that I didn't get to take on Craster at the Arnie/Danny quote-off, though. I'd have been useless at the Grease quotes, but I'd mentally lined up pretty much every line in order from Commando, Terminator and Predator... I was ready ;)

I pitched to Cras yesterday that it should have had more cards that let you swap someone else from the team into a challenge after it was drawn, or even steal a challenge from another team when you realise you have the perfect person for it.

I just found the scores from our game of Sheriff of Nottingham and I think I want to draw more attention to Bobby's outstanding performance.

First place with 162 points - Grim...
151 points - me
146 points - Sarah
145 - Wookie
And finally, with a truly impressive 53 points, Bobbyaro

The problem was that maybe 30% of the time he knew the answer and 70% it was utter bullshit. But he delivered them in exactly the same way, so I had to filter out what I thought was bullshit and what I thought was right.
