Kirk Douglas is doing pretty well too at 102.

Ray Sawyer from Dr Hook didn't make it though.

Another one of the greats gone far too early. I think I've been listening and enjoying his work for as long as I can remember. I still have fond memories of 'Jack and Jeremy's Police 5' and 'Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation' from way back.

The singing rounds in ISIHAC will never be the same again.

I'd never really thought that Haynes manuals involved a real person, to be honest.

Beside the person who writes all the corrections onto the manual with a red pen, of course.

Bruno Ganz :(

I watched him in The Manchurian Candidate just last night. And last week in In Order Of Disappearance (not a bad film at all and the one that Cold Pursuit is based on). I rather liked his cameo in Unknown too.

That’s a real shame. I knew he was never going to resurface or record new stuff as his curmudgeonly stance and refusenik policy toward the music industry was legendary. The stuff he did record was sublime.
Edit. I have The Colour Of Spring on loud, right now

You may be interested to read “Are we still rolling?” by Phill Brown, who was the recording engineer on Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock. The song writing and recording processes were quite bizarre, involving what amounted to sensory deprivation, chaos and semi-starvation, among other things.
