Happy New Year everyone!

I'm aiming to spend more time doing the things that I enjoy and that are good for me. Do lots more skateboarding, running, flying planes, that sort of thing. Also one goal I've set myself is to improve my long-neglected handwriting to the point where it can be reliably read by other people and perhaps even looks nice. Spend less time looking it Twitter and that sort of shite.

Can we see your handwriting now? Then we can all see at the end of the year whether you’ve improved your penmanship or look like you are still writing with your foot ;)

I’d like to improve my handwriting, too. I don’t like mine at all. I used to be able to write nicely, then I got a typewriter at university (yes, I said typewriter...) and now I just can’t.

HNY Beexers. I don’t make new year resolutions. I make non New Year resolutions all the time and almost always fail to start them, never mind keep to them. I think the only one I really kept was from June 2014 when I decided to try the 5:2 diet which gradually enabled me to lose around 10 kilos. I still half heartedly stick to it and have managed to maintain my weight loss, but still haven’t got down to my original target. It’s suspended over the Christmas break anyway, as there’s too much temptation in the house with all the extra food and drink, so I’ll hopefully get back to applying it more seriously once all the mince pies, chocs and booze has been consumed.

I'll try and take a picture. tbh if by the time I'm done it looks like I was writing at least with my right foot then that would be a pretty big improvement.

I have 5 goals which I decided upon this morning, all of which are vaguely health/fitness related:

1) Get my upper body strength back to where it was so that I can complete 20 consecutive push ups (extra bonus points if I can finally do a bloody pull up)

2) Deadlight my bodyweight (currently around 70kg)

3) Beat my half marathon time in May

4) Get my taekwon-do blue belt

5) Stay sober

Happy new year all :)

I'd quite like to get my body fat % down a chunk so I can maybe actually see some benefits of the muscle I'm building. I also joined Bumble the other day as a first step to sorting my love life out a bit (i.e. maybe actually having one). Nothing much has come of it so I might need to actually join Tinder or something. Or just get bored of the entire thing and not bother. I should also sell my flat and get a bigger/nicer one; but long time viewers will be aware that I've been saying that for about four years now so I'm not holding my breath.

All of which sounds a bit miserable on review, but it's more that I'm actually quite content with my life so not massively bothered about changing any of it; which is a nice realisation. :)

My new year's resolution will be 1080, although if my fps drops below 30 I'll revert to 720

Get some weight off, not done any exercise in anger for months.

Going Dry until end of March

Started well today, I have my older boy (4) all to myself as my wife has gone to Dublin for a week with our baby

I've been making a big effort to get him out for activities every day.

However today we did nothing :) Never left the house, watched TV, played Lego, ate the last of the Xmas sweets and other crap.

It was great :D Have a Dominos arriving in 4 minutes as well

So really starting tomorrow!
