I got a Black Country T shirt, the complete Futurama box set, a book about video editing (Thanks Secret Santa!) a spa day voucher for Mrs TheVision and I (I'm hoping I can get a tiny Thai lady to give me a massage with extras) and finally, proving that he still doesn't know me, an adventure day gift card from my brother in law. Happy Christmas! Up at 5.50am, but had a stocking in his room with a small Lego set that once built kept him busy until 7am Built 2 more now and started on a huge Playmobile Castle, having a "rest" from that to cook dinner now |

The trick is to plate up a modest portion, take a pretty picture, then plate up the actual food you're going to eat. Beef was 54 deg C, so theoretically medium-rare (for a fairly French definition of doneness...) It was redder than I'd expected, admittedly! Meltingly tender though. |

We're off to Helen's sister's for her side of the family lunch. Their step mum can be a bit of a nightmare at the best of times but I'm sure she'll be turned up to 11 at Christmas.
