Reliant (bad) Scimitar (good). The Interceptor is a great name, but in the flesh I don’ think it looked as appealing as the CV8. Looked kinda unballanced with a heavy looking back end. I was a passenger in a CV8 when I was a young teen and remember the acceleration pinned me to the seat. |

I kept one of the engines and rebuilt it with 11:1 comp forged pistons, hi lift lumpy cams, holley 4 barrel, branch manifolds, steel timing gear etc etc. I'll be fairly surprised if I ever get the time to fit it to something

My bro-in-law had a Scimitar that he left with his pensioner dad when he was working out of the country. His dad used to grow horns and the red mist came down whenever HE drove it. Fibre glass body meant it didn’t rust when left unused and largely uncared for, for months at a time. |
