Some food stuff in the <£4 PSN sale.

I just got Fez for £2.49, which is good as I've been hankering after it on the Vita for a long while.

I made the mistake of buying Shadowhand in the Steam sale yesterday. It's by the same people who made Regency Solitaire, using virtually identical card-playing mechanics. This time, rather than playing cards to navigate the chattering ballrooms of Regency England, you play a society-gal-cum-highway-woman.

Each level gives you the opportunity to level up your kit and powers, and generally ends in a duel where you must earn attack points by linking cards in typical Solitaire-style.

It effortlessly ate up my afteroon, which was less than ideal as I had lots on. But yes, it's great.

I played it on the PS3 and enjoyed it a lot until I got stuck. Then never went back because I got a PS4.

I don't actually ever play that genre on a console or my PC; I reserve them entirely for playing on my phone. Good looking out though. :)

The Flame in the Flood (Steam) is free at the moment. Apparently I already have it, so if you can't be arsed to go through the shopping cart bit to get it, 045M7-06J0J-YHKRK is a spare code.

Pick a free thing from a massive selection on GOG:

I'm posting the HUKD link thought because the GOG site is basically dying under the load at the moment.

2DS in Tesco Direct for £56. That's the cheapest I've seen them and probably worth a purchase if you're looking to get into the huge DS and 3DS library.

You can get a Steam Controller and a Steam Link for £27.35 in the Steam Sale: https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/7 ... _and_Link/

If you've already got them, why not get a spare Steam Link or three? They're £2! https://store.steampowered.com/app/353380/Steam_Link/

I believe so, but you'd better double check.

The Steam Controller is a thing of beauty, though.

PS4 controllers work natively but I think you need a dongle for Xbox ones. I love mine, it's great playing PC games on the sofa in the living room when my PC is upstairs!

If you've got a wired controller you can just smash it straight in and it works fine; I have a wired Xbox controller for when we play games on the link (this was before I got a better computer so the quality wasn't as good).

My only criticism with the Steam Controller is that not all games recognise it as a controller some pick it up as a mouse and keyboard can make it a little awkward to set it up properly.

Me too! But sometimes its shite, like in GTA 5 there are some way better schemes that aren't the community top voted one.

Yes, but it’s a bit hacky, has glitched out for me a few times (requiring me to walk to the PC to fix), and is awkward to control the mouse cursor unless you have a mouse or a Steam Controller on the Steam Link. It is the only way to load games that don’t come from Steam, though eg. GOG or Origin.

You can, but it's a faff. When you start it up it kicks off Big Picture mode so you have to go to your computer and put it back to normal mode.

I think you can tick a box somewhere to enable desktop mode remotely. Although my Steam Link has been unplugged for ages.

Thanks guys. That's interesting. I'm thinking that it might be a good way to use Plex in my living room? I've ordered one anyway so I'll have a play and see what happens.

That's if I get it that is. There's a big demand apparently.

It's probably the worst of 45 ways to use Plex in your living room, but sure

No, it’s a really crappy way to use Plex in your living room. Get one of the Fire TV sticks for that. Assuming you somehow don’t have a console that runs Plex and your TV can’t do it.

I have the Xbox One which runs Plex but that's in my Command Centre away from the living room. I do also have a Fire Stick but it's old and a bit slow but never mind. I'll have a play and see how I get on.

It looks like it'll work which is good enough for me.
