According to 'Private Eye', Paul Dacre insists they're separate entities, despite sharing management and Paul Dacre.

"These two things with the same name, content and ownership are definitely completely different; honest guv." It's a convincing argument for sure.

Technically the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday are separate entities too, but, y'know.

Well, their respective editors loathe each other.

I read it as she's specifically trying to sell advertising on the website and was mentioning the readership/circulation of the papers as a selling point.

It's an Epiphone G-400 in worn brown. It's very sexy, satin finish... I've always loved the SG body shape. (SG>Tele>Les Paul,>everything else>Strat)

Now just need to be able to play it. It's a bit bigger than my ukes.

If I remember I'll get a picture of it when I get home from work.

What is that? Is it alcohol driven food? It looks like someone has put burger cheese in between two slices of bread, microwaves it, then liked pickled onions in the top.

Pretty close but it's actual cheddar. There's brown sauce on it too. Concerningly there was no alcohol involved, just very tired.

I'm an avid proponent of the microwaved cheese sandwich. Takes about 60 seconds to prepare and it's a delightfully gooey thing.

Wouldn't be microwaving it with pickled onions though, that would be a sweaty, vinegary mess.

Everything should be microwaved, this is the future we're living in you know. I'll stop microwaving things when someone invents me an affordable food synthesiser.

I googled to check its provenance, as I didn't realise it was a real thing.

Fucking hell. I've just a really fucking nasty realisation.

A few years back, I was sequestered into being a Theatre Technician of sorts. Really I was assisting the guys who knew what they were doing. I was helping with the tech on a production of Chicago that a local Dance School was putting on in our theatre. It was an all-girl cast with ages from 16 up to no more than 19, with the two teachers being maybe early to late 30s.

After a few days of rehearsal, running through the sound and lighting, it came time for a full dress rehearsal. If you've seen Chicago on stage or screen, you'll be aware that the costumes are somewhat scanty, not much more than underwear really. So, these girls who up to this point had been in dance wear for the most part, starting appearing in bras and shorts and stockings and the like. Previously, we'd been able to just clip a mic pack on a waistband or whatever, no biggie, but now... not an option. The older ladies were *extremely* relaxed about the processes we had to go through in order to attach these mic packs to the girls. At one point, one of the teachers said "You'll not get far in this business if you don't like being touched up by random guys!" Naturally, I was as careful and respectful as I could possibly be, but I can see how it could be a potentially horrible situation to be in for a young girl.

Fucking Hell, it must be hard being a girl sometimes.

Even looking back at how I (and *we*) talked about it at the time makes me cringe hard viewtopic.php?style=2&p=569286#p569286

When you know better, you do better.

FWIW I don't think it's wrong to be attracted to scantily clad dancing women. Had you acted on that by actually groping or inappropriately touching one of them, that would be a different matter. (Although personally, a couple of posts in that thread made for difficult reading.)
