There is a train that runs from Macclesfield to Euston, but MrsA decided getting another train to Stoke first was a better idea.

I went to school in Macclesfield (same school as Ian Curtis, misery-fans). Excellent connections to London! (When you get the direct train!)

According to the Beeb in the penultimate paragraph of this article, 'you should at least consider encrypting important files and storing them on a separate hard drive that isn't wi-fi enabled, or at least keeping them in a password-protected folder.

Can't wait for them to explain how to do this.

Four hours left to go in Le Mans and every single LMP1 car has either crashed or sufferered a catastrophic failure. Lols abound.

I've just had a two mile walk in the glorious sunshine and now I want to be at home in my garden rather than here.

Over the weekend one of our cats protested against us being away overnight by leaving a dead mouse behind the wardrobe. Gave our bedroom a really funky smell until we found it. Bloody animals.

I've had a rotting mouse under the floorboards before. The smell is horrific.

Post subject:  Re: Bits and Bobs 48

I think it's the same cat that last year somehow managed to leave a dead mouse in the sleeve of a jacket that had been folded and placed under the bed for the summer. It got quite to a quite advanced level of ookiness before I worked out where the stink was coming from.

So I'm on Amazon earlier, and I buy a stainless steel popcorn machine, because who doesn't like popcorn? Exactly. And this one apparently can run on and on without overheating, which would be good for parties.

Anyway, I'm um-ing and ah-ing over going to the local Tesco to get one so I can have popcorn sooner, but I'm lazy, so online wins out.

I go to checkout, and there's a new service called Amazon Prime X, and it reckons it can deliver goods in ten minutes. There's a distribution centre near Bedford and they do sometimes test stuff out, but I'm fairly sure it's bullshit. Still, it's only £2 extra, so I give it a shot.

Nine minutes and fourty seconds later I've decided it was too good to be true, but then:

Knock knock!

Open up the door - it's real! With the non-stop pop pop and stainless steel!

X gonna give it to ya, fuck waiting for you to get it on your own. X gon' deliver to ya!
