Those words were enough for me to hold my breath as the image loaded. Had to take a breath then told myself off for being all excited. Then the image loaded.

Was the one that came with it not working too well? I had to polish the needle a bit on mine but it was fine after that.

It’s a bit hit and miss mate, I’ve had it apart and given it a good old clean but the action on the trigger is a bit sketchy. I just have some birthday money and a voucher screaming at me so I pulled the trigger. :D

The fancy one will probably be loads better. But if you want to keep the old one as a spare you can definitely get them working pretty well. I think I just got some 5000 grit and sort of twizzled the needle in it and it really improved matters.

I’ll try that thing with the needle, cheers. Might be a while before the Badger arrives so I’ll be getting more use out of this current one.

Think I might have done 5000, 7000 and then even brasso to finally smooth it off.

Looks really smart. Is that a before and after both from today? If so your lawn looks a little less happy. Hopefully that bounces back quickly.

Yes. They were apologetic but it was so wet today.

It should grow back. Fingers crossed

That's a good fence. I did a bit of a fence down the side of the house at the old place and it was.... Alright. I think I'd pay someone to do a proper job too, if it was a boundary fence.

We bought the kids some skateboards (pictured) and protective gear (not pictured  )

The hill is a bit too steep for me to get all the way down, I kept getting near the grass and bailing.

That looks like the stuff of childhood memories. "I remember this great hill, we rolled down it and fell into the grass at huge speed!"

There used to be a big hill at Gladstone Park (@Malc may remember?), which was the absolute best for riding your bike down or roller skating down at incredible speed.

Do you know what I don't remember, but I do remember the trainline running through the middle of it and I quite like this picture of me and my eldest son (who is now 22 years old!) which was taken there.

If you get to keep the pieces rather than return they make good critter houses under bushes etc

I've bought a scissor jack to go in the car as my last one had plastic parts that slipped down the screw thread alarmingly when I last used it.

I do get to keep the pieces! They’re also good for plant drainage. Talking of critter houses I want to make a hedgehog feeding house later this year.

Would you believe they just shipped them in the box like that with no padding? When I phoned up to ask them to replace them, they blamed the courier :DD

Probably. I thought I’d try once more and keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best, but if the same happens I’ll give up and ask for a refund.

Twice in the last week, here, but old people's cars are outliers (one went flat in the garage, other was driven back from supermarket because  ). I replaced the second flat on the drive just yesterday. Couple of exciting moments as the other side of the car settled into the gravel while it was raised.

And then I used him. I had to get this done this weekend because the grass is growing like crazy and the gardeners complain if I let it get too long before they cut it while doing their other tidying up.
