Is that CF? Be interested to see how hard you find it? Everybody I know with a CF bike has complained of how hard they ride

That bike doesn't look comfy but I'm sure it'll be great.

Also, get another screw in that shelf in the top right.

There's no way I'd be happy with that riding position, but it looks really smart.

I'm replacing 6's with 8's in the hope that the lower plug temp will reduce knocking. Next step - Methanol!

Omg!!!! What a beautiful pup! Is it a girl or a boy? What’s it’s name?! It’s so shiny. Keep editing this with questions, but how old is it? It’s super cute. And how big? And how big will it be?

Ha! As you may remember, I eschew most IoT kit, but it's getting harder to avoid it.

But I've been pressured by the female contingent of the WH household to buy this doorbell, and they gradually beat me down.

There was a lot of bad language as I tried to follow the somewhat inadequate setup instructions. Physical installation was OK, but a bit more detail on connecting to wifi would have helped. Anyroadup, the bell is working, but no matter how I tried, I couldn't get the Chime to connect.

Bootiful dawg. I'd love a big dog breed, but their shorter lifespan makes it all the more painful.

Shitbags.

You need plenty, with a big dog.

We used to have a retriever/something/something/Pyrenenean Mountain Dog cross. I spend an awfull lot off time shovelling shit, but he was a lovely dog. But big dog, small brain. He evidently didn't understand that retrievers are supposed to pick things up and bring them back when you throw them.

Love Willow

For @warhead's note buy a big box from Amazon - we go out with at least one bag ready to go plus at least a part roll as you don't want to end up running out :-)

As our dog is not new - I'll post her on the pets thread here : https://www.beexcellenttoeachother.com/ ... 3#p1062603

As a parent, I was always told to buy dogshit bags instead of nappy bags, because they were cheaper.

Unless that's your joke and I've :boots:

Not in my experience! Nappy bags are about 10 times cheaper in the supermarket.

We’ve just officially bought the keys to this garden (and the house you pass through to get to it).

We completed today and the keys are ready to be picked up after lunch.

Obviously the pictures were taken when we started the purchase, so it’ll be a lot more wintery now, but I just can’t wait to get into the outside space with Darwin. Going to buy a slide! Going to make a vegetable bed!

Being stuck in this flat the past year has been more difficult than usual, and despite how stressful this process can be just the thought of having some outdoors space is amazing.

This is our first non-rental home and is a really huge and exciting step for us.

Waiting for new one to go to new place?

Thanks everyone. We hadn’t really spoken about it much to anyone only as we’d been through parts of the process before and the sale (of other houses) kept falling through because the seller changed their mind, or something else along the way.

Yes, Zardoz. We don’t have a fridge of our own, and we won’t be able to order a fridge until we can measure up the space in the utility room and decide to go for a freestanding chest-height one, or an under the counter style one in the kitchen. So we couldn’t order one in advance, and just wanted a few meal ideas that I could cook from a store cupboard in the interim. I’m usually I’m quite good at organising stuff like that, but I’ve just been too tired to think straight, as today is Russell’s first day off work so I’ve been trying to pack everything, plus redecorate here, plus homeschool, etc, and my brain just decided to nope out on me.
