To be fair, Dave's looks pretty understated compared to some of the ones in their range.

I'm probably going to get another chair, likely one of these, after we've had our garage converted to an office. Although if I can pick up a second hand Aeron for not much more money, I might look at that instead.

Oh yeah, even the worst of their stuff is a lot more subtle than a lot of the nonsense out there. I'm not sure why I have such a knee-jerk response to that general design.

You don’t see much of the chair when you’re using it.

Exact same one I've got. I love it, I don't hate how it looks especially but also couldn't care less either just because it's comfy as fuck. No way I'd swap it for some old Hermann Miller office chair.

Not such a fan of the car seat on wheels trend that appears to be going on, but this'll do, given I'm not stretching to £1200 odd.

@mr Dave how are you finding the chair for day to day use.

I keep seeing the adverts and I am tempted as it looks like i will be working at home, over the next 12 months with less trips to the office..

Yeah, rather deliberately. I was after a comfortable chair, not a fashion statement.

Also avoided the leather ones, which I'm very grateful for given the weather.

Office has mostly aerons, and a smaller selection of Herman miller mirras. I found the aerons uncomfortable after a day of use, the mirra 1 not great on the back, but quite liked the mirra 2. They are, however expensive, and hard to find refurbished.

@KovacsC Obviously early days, but so far I like it. it has the range of adjustments I find useful. (Particularly in boring meetings, the ability to just recline out of view and relax is nice) I'd prefer a less deep back cushion, and maybe a slightly softer seat, but both are easily sorted if needs be. Their website is quite good for finding the right chair for you too. As you're a fair bit taller than me, you'd probably want one of the titan chairs, which has adjustable lumbar support too. Seems sturdy enough to last for a while too, within reason.

Maybe it’s one of those little flags you have coming off a tall pole at the back, like on a chopper? Needs some matching handlebar tassels.

Is that a switch? I don’t understand how it works as a wah pedal as they’re usually resistor-based.

I'm restoring a 1999 S&M Dirt Bike. I have a pad set for it, but they are not "era correct". They are a reproduction of a very early 90s set.

The whip girl pads are era correct.

Some of it yes. Talk about cutting water weight, sheesh. My cousin and I floored it out last October so I had somewhere to put my collection. I've been working on this.

Image

My Terrible One Ruben Alacantra. Also this, my Haro Master.

Image

Which needed a total rebuild because I nicked a load of parts off it. Most have arrived now. I built this too.

Image

So yeah got a few now. Some are new, most are from the 90s. I break them down and restore them like. Just got done restoring some cranks.

Image

Keeps me busy. My brain, that is. I've got a good few now.

Yeah, there's magical trickery going on.

Here's a YouTube explaining some stuff that I had to watch as my £23 clearly doesn't stretch to an exhaustive instruction manual to be out in the box . I'm loving the cheap pedals.

12 coil wort chiller. Taken 20 mins to go from boiling to 40 celcius so far. Much efficiency. Uses the garden hose connectors.

I accidentally bought a MacBook Pro, with the (now mistaken) belief that I probably wouldn't get on with it and could return it.

I like it, but it feels wrong after being a Windows user since the days of 3.1

I had similar feelings when my Windows 7 laptop died and I just couldn't face going to Windows 10, although I bought a Mackbook Air and it wasn't by accident. There are some niggles with the way it behaves, but I've never felt like taking a hammer to it, as I often have with Windows over the years. On the whole, it's been a good choice.

Worst worst case: donated £300 to arts company
Worst case: gets postponed and ticket rolls to next year for superfunpartytimes
Best case: superfunpartytimes

A fitting kit for the Skoda - https://www.thule.com/en-gb/roof-rack/f ... 6-_-141726

Thule changed their roof bars a few years ago, so I was worried I was going to have to buy a whole new kit. Luckily some places still had the old ones, so just needed the clamps.

I shall be needing something like that as BigTent just got a porch (library photo)
