This was my second visit to the cottage and once again, it was ace! Highlights for me include:- Curio and his awesome quiz... Thanks for sorting it Curio. The Yes Chefs and their brilliant meal on Saturday night. Thanks for keeping us all alive. Meeting new people I haven't met before. This is you Pete and Jem. Gaming goodness in the form of a retropi and VR headset. Good work Dave and Davpaz. Winning lots of games of Mafia as soon as I got my personal adviser on board. And the absolute highlight for me was sitting on the doorstep listening to "It's a Skull" at around 1 in the morning. I never would have dreamed that that would have been a thing in 2017. Usual post-Cottage comedown. Like Christmas, the build-up is brilliant but it's all over so quickly. Still, so many highlights: - 'Flamme Rouge', 'Loot Letter', and 'Power Grid' are ace. I am, however, losing my touch at 'Ticket to Ride'. - Retropi was brilliant. Couldn't get the NES Bill & Ted game to work, alas. - Getting so absorbed in Mr Dave's VR world I was ducking for cover behind a pillar and leaning out to take potshots at the polygonal droids. My arm hurt from the archery too. - The curry and quiz were as excellent as always (thanks!) I'll post some photos at some point. |
