Wonderful weekend, had a lovely time as always and no kilt based shenanigans to fret over or over enthusiastic beer pong to destroy me.

Thanks to everyone for being amazing. Especially Curio for organising the whole weekend plus the quiz. Wendy for sorting chicken for me on pizza night. The yes chefs for Saturday (even though I didn't eat any). Rachel and Dan for the lift to the A.S.D.A.s. Kovacs for the lift to meet the food delivery on Sunday (and putting up with me as a room mate) and Pete for sharing the journey with me back to the train station. And just every one for being great. I have a nice 5 hour journey home now. But it's worth it for you guys. Lovely meeting everyone again, and a couple of new facestoo. Always hard for me to make other events, but the cottage is one that I put extra effort in to getting there.

Hopefully see you all next year if not before.

It was a top-projected table you could play kids' games on! I got 54 on save the penguins then they brought the food over.

Thanks for another superb weekend, guys. Props to Curio for organising the whole shebang, quiz included. Grim... and Cras for the cookings, MrsA for pizza organisation, DavPaz for awesome Pi setup, and just everyone for being as amazing as usual.

We were in bed by 8pm last night and I slept for nearly 12 hours straight, so I'm not quite as dead as I should be given the two late nights.

What a great weekend...

I enjoyed x-wing, i might have to buy it. The red indestructible Tie interceptor, will go into legend.

The 'yes chef' curry was great.

The beex drinks was fab.. although drinking every ones drink was awful.

Amazing cottage as usual.
Eating all of the peanut butter filled pretzels is apparently not the best way to spend Friday afternoon (unless you're Grim...), and I'm a little disappointed not to have continued my winning streak on the quiz (well, a streak of coincidentally being on the team that won).

Neverending games of Mafia and zombies (and of course, one) were great fun, and it was nice to not be a townie for a change, although not being a townie at all probably means I'm not due another power role until co11age (I'm claiming that one early).

Great work again from the yes chefs, but perhaps we need to change the time on their phones back by a couple of hours next year.

Thanks Curio for the quiz and general organisation of things.

Thanks DavPaz for ensuring that the cottage has progressed from the humble beginnings of rock band, through the ps4 and VR to the true peak of gaming, and making me want to put together my own RetroPie, even though I know very well I'd probably never play anything on it.

Thanks to everyone else I haven't singled out (mainly because I'm fed up of typing) for making it what it is.

See you all next year (or before).

Hey guys and gals,

Many thanks from me for a truly wonderful inaugral Beex-Meet. Great to see some new faces and experience something so very special. Happily I managed to avoid a hangover and stayed the right side of drunk too with a continual happy buzz, despite being caught out by the Smirnoff. (Does referencing that mean I have to drink another Smirnoff now? Only I'm in work.)

Special moments...

Skeletor offers live running commentary.

Proudly explaining the rules of X Wing and then being the worst at it ever.

Correctly calling that the motorcycle turns into a boat in Dhoom 3, because of course. Plus sniggering shamelessly at unintentionally-comedic name. Glorious film.

Experiencing VR for the first time with Super... HOT. I was flexing and bending like a true Neo, catching guns flying through the air and throwing daggers at the enemy's shins. Also mis-quipping as my, "Hey, head's up," comment to a closing bad guy I'd turned to intercept with a shotgun was met with a resounding empty-chambered *click*. Trying to step over the ledge into thin air from atop a skyscraper led to confounding and anxious brain-rebellion. Then my foot physically inched around trying to find the ledge to make sure I didn't trip over on the way back!

A very delicious curry. Thanks chefs!

Winning High Noon Saloon. Because, hey, it's nice winning one game. But the highlight was everyone shooting Craster after his misguided 'Fire on everyone with special chandalier swinging move before landing proudly on the floor in the middle of them without a hint of cover' strategy. And the honkey-tonk Western bar piano music we had accompanying our shoot out. And our variably appalling fake 'I do declahre!' accents.

Playing Power Grid for the first time. Great fun, great cut-throat energy company competitors.

Coming second in the Great Beex Quiz. The movie questions helped me dominate, but if it weren't for some mighty fine crossword puzzle filling by the other team members, we would have been left in the dust. Wish I hadn't crossed out 'Silkwood' though on the Meryl Streep question.

Nerf gun battles. Beex through Superior Firepower!

Betrayal at the House on the Hill. Killing off my doppleganger with a freaky body-horror fist-dagger ("Say hello to Queen Dopolopolous, Doppleganger!") and then playing 'pass the crystal ball' with my plucky team of insane super-geniuses, ripped super-strong 13 year old boys and clanking Medieval armour and revolver toting young girls.

Indeed, listening to 'It's a Skull' outside after midnight and treasuring the moment. Also, Gary Finbow revelation.

And several dozen more no doubt. Thanks again folks! And hey, freaky red sun on the way back Monday, huh?

I'm not sure you could've fixed the lack of remote on DVD player 1
or the lack of turning on on DVD player 2
or the lack of remote on DVD player 3

(And yes, we needed a remote to put on the subtitles as none of us understood Hindi)
