What a weekend. Just about to fall asleep in front of the TV.

Curio=legend. Quizmaster MC extraordinair.
Great Pi based fun with fellow retro fans.
Excellent board game excitement
VR gladiators! Pinata mode!
Beex Drink should come with a health warning for split sides. Hilarious!
The legendary end to Matts V Daves beer pong. MrDave holds his nerve in the face of some severe sledging to silence the loud ones! Highlight of the weekend.

And loads more! My first icing! The amazing curry! Granny's fricking Garden!

Same time next year?

This was my second visit to the cottage and once again, it was ace!

Highlights for me include:-

Curio and his awesome quiz... Thanks for sorting it Curio.
The Yes Chefs and their brilliant meal on Saturday night. Thanks for keeping us all alive.
Meeting new people I haven't met before. This is you Pete and Jem.
Gaming goodness in the form of a retropi and VR headset. Good work Dave and Davpaz.
Winning lots of games of Mafia as soon as I got my personal adviser on board.

And the absolute highlight for me was sitting on the doorstep listening to "It's a Skull" at around 1 in the morning. I never would have dreamed that that would have been a thing in 2017. My mind is blown!

Ace weekend. Same time next year? IN!

Usual post-Cottage comedown. Like Christmas, the build-up is brilliant but it's all over so quickly. Still, so many highlights:

- 'Flamme Rouge', 'Loot Letter', and 'Power Grid' are ace. I am, however, losing my touch at 'Ticket to Ride'.
- Retropi was brilliant. Couldn't get the NES Bill & Ted game to work, alas.
- Getting so absorbed in Mr Dave's VR world I was ducking for cover behind a pillar and leaning out to take potshots at the polygonal droids. My arm hurt from the archery too.
- The curry and quiz were as excellent as always (thanks!)

I'll post some photos at some point.

Wonderful weekend, had a lovely time as always and no kilt based shenanigans to fret over or over enthusiastic beer pong to destroy me.

Thanks to everyone for being amazing. Especially Curio for organising the whole weekend plus the quiz. Wendy for sorting chicken for me on pizza night. The yes chefs for Saturday (even though I didn't eat any). Rachel and Dan for the lift to the A.S.D.A.s. Kovacs for the lift to meet the food delivery on Sunday (and putting up with me as a room mate) and Pete for sharing the journey with me back to the train station. And just every one for being great. I have a nice 5 hour journey home now. But it's worth it for you guys. Lovely meeting everyone again, and a couple of new facestoo. Always hard for me to make other events, but the cottage is one that I put extra effort in to getting there.

Hopefully see you all next year if not before.

It was a top-projected table you could play kids' games on! I got 54 on save the penguins then they brought the food over.

Thanks for another superb weekend, guys. Props to Curio for organising the whole shebang, quiz included. Grim... and Cras for the cookings, MrsA for pizza organisation, DavPaz for awesome Pi setup, and just everyone for being as amazing as usual.

We were in bed by 8pm last night and I slept for nearly 12 hours straight, so I'm not quite as dead as I should be given the two late nights.
