It's all a metaphor about a child turning away from the assistance and lightness offered by his family, and choosing instead to embrace his inner monster. He decides to switch off the light and welcome back the beast. It's sort of like a kiddy, Christmassy Fight Club. They'll be a follow up ad where the monster hands him a box of matches and a jerry can and they both smile as he heads off to school.

Shops are getting worse, its all decked out for Christmas before Halloween is over these days.

Just gets on my nerves until maybe the week before when you start to feel the Christmas spirit.

John Lewis Advert is always good, but I would never shop there, nearest one too far away :p

I've been doing Christmas since Feb. Thoroughly sick of it.

The steel drum man was out playing jolly Christmas tunes today. It really made me feel a bit festive so I bought myself a mince pie from Boots and had some hot Ribena (it’s supposed to be made hot because it’s mulled wine flavour and says ‘make with hot water’ on the bottle!!) from my travel mug.

This makes me so happy! This is what I would drink last year when I couldn't have wine. Also, it's bloody lovely! Where did you get it from Meems? I might have to get dressed and go shopping!!

My friend bought it for me, she said it’s really hard to get hold of as it keeps selling out everywhere so she went out hunting in branches of Asda until she eventually found two bottles in an Aldi.

It was slippy and slide walking up the hill last night? Definite ice, and I think there's a small bit of snow in the garden and it looks like the moor has a covering.

Too cold? In Newcastle? Poppycock! If you see a Geordie in a coat, the heat death of the universe is imminent.

Christmas decorations up in Bradford.

No council decorations on yet around me.

There is a large house on my street that is a Montessori Nursery, thats got lights all over it. Schools start early though was at my sons Christmas Fayre yesterday.

Then in the next street over a couple of houses that go nuts with the decorations (the sort of thing that makes the local paper) have all theirs out.

Had another IP65 plug box put at the front of the house last week as my son wants to put lights up at the front of the house.

Put my tree up at home yesterday :)

Didn't plan to, but had to bring out the decoration box from the attic so that I could put a load of unwanted toys in there behind them.

So my son spotted them and that was the end of waiting another week.

He was in the box again this morning telling me we needed to add more lights.

Still, so far he hasn't pulled it down or thrown any baubles against the wall so big improvement on last year

Got all the decorations down from the loft over the weekend, and the house now looks lovely. However, whilst in the attic, I found that we have both mice and condensation. Booo!

The kids school is closed but they announced it quite late. Too late for one mom it seems as I saw her walking down the road to school with her pushchair and 3 kids.

I would have said something out the window but this is the same mom who has let her dog shit in the street so you know.. I left her.

No snow for me (Berkshire) car has a little ice on it this morning.

Current forcast is heavy rain at the weekend, but that could be snow.

Hope we get a bit of snow as I don't think we have had any since my son was born.
