I’m getting a train to Stafford and being picked up. This is going to go horribly wrong isn’t it?

It’s Stafford. Fucked up is implied.

Probably depends whereabouts you're going. Some parts are worse than others - and it depends on how close to a main road you're going to be. Side streets, estates etc all really bad in our neck of the woods.

Well, I will be arriving at the station and getting a cab to Newport. All will probably be fine.

Have you pre-booked the taxi? Local companies are no longer taking bookings...

I was hoping there would just be taxis there.

A bit of snow here overnight, which made making two trips to the post office with a dozen or so parcels particularly challenging. Thankfully for the bad bits, my YakTrax over my shoes keep me upright. From there it was just a case of finding somewhere convenient to take them off and put them back on again.

Snowed a bit om Thursday night in Manchester and then froze quite hard, so wipers were stuck to the screen and took a while to Clear. Brightened up, mid-morning and then I had to drive to Ellesmere Port in the afternoon. It rained more and more the further I got out of Manchester, and snowed quite heavily as I approached Cheshire Oaks. By the time I was heading back at 5pm, most of the snow had gone, but it was still raining and sleeting until I got to Altrincham, where it was dry, with no sign of it having rained at all.

Went out to get my ears lowered at 7.15 today and there was a light frost on the Fusion, and it’s snowed a couple of time during the day, but none has stuck.

No real change here. We bought tickets to some Winter Wonderland thing over by Sherbern in Elmet. To get there would be driving through Bradford, then motorways. Only the last bit could be tricky. I'm tempted to just write the cost off, rather than write the ScooRhubarb off. I've got a concern over it.

There's bloody snow in Southwark. Still, it'll add to the magic of the Christmas markets, I suppose...

I'd be more thrilled if I hadn't already played the game of 'will I get to the Christmas party in time' on Friday when it bloody snowed back home. I hate snow.

Loads of snow here and it's still coming. I was supposed to be going to Manchester this evening to see Hanson but I reckon I'm going to have to give it a miss. Annoying.

My neighbour’s husband works in the Apple store in Birmingham. He was due in at 10:30 so set off at 8:30 to wait for the bus. No buses came, so he set off walking towards town as the website said they were still running. Not quite sure why he did this as it’s the opposite direction to Birmingham. Anyway, after walking 50 minutes he arrived at the bus station. Eventually a bus set off and got stuck about 300 yards from the station. After they freed traffic he carried on. It took him just past his house before the main road being blocked off as it’s no longer passable, so all buses were suspended. He was just about 50 yards from my house. Back to where he started over two hours earlier.

A friend of mine went to Dublin for the weekend and she's now stuck there as Birmingham Airport have now suspended all flights :)

Here, yesterday's snow had disappeared by the evening, only to be replaced by more overnight, so today's post office trip was a little treacherous, but at least I can put my feet up now.

A friend posted pictures from the M40 heading towards London saying that it was very slow but his car was coping fine. Twenty minutes later there was a further update from a ditch by the side of the M40.

Oh goodness, are they ok?

My mother’s husband is stuck at Junction 3 of the M1 on the way to work and she said there’s barely an inch of snow there.

I have now had this explained to me. Never heard it before.
