I genuinely didn't realise Ed Harris was a human until I saw William put on the black hat. And it only then clicked that that was why Ed Harris wasn't affected by tender-beefcake's bullets in the first episode. I assume everyone has been watching the whole series with the knowledge that he is human, which must have changed things somewhat. I just thought he'd glitched things and was a robot on an existential mission to fuck things up.

Hole-Lee Fuck. That finale was astonishingly good. I'd been totally and wholly consumed by the story and the cast of characters. An amazingly accomplished series right off the bat. It's up there, in my eyes, with The Wire, The Shield (season 2), Hannibal, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones (season 1), Mr Robot and The Walking Dead (season 2). Ok, that's a daft list of TV I've loved but I've really loved West World. A lot.

Finished Westworld. I'm certain I didn't give it enough attention when it was on, a little too much time spent on my phone. Therefore I missed lots. But it all tied together really nicely after a lag in the middle where Dolores and William gadding about seemingly endlessly and aimlessly really sapped my energy.
