Do be aware it's pretty slow, but not in a bad way IMO, the time it takes to build the characters and the world all pays off in the end. Oh yes really good soundtrack too, I forgot about that in my previous post. |

I'm quite enjoying Lost in Space, I think it's a pretty good re-imagining of the original series, which I have fond memories of. The new robot design is cool. And in a sign of my aging and possibly the changing times, I find the mum character to be far more... ahem... visually appealing than any of the other characters. |

Hearthly wrote: Anyway, if you want something good to watch on Netflix I'd really recommend giving DARK a try. It's GERMAN and features GERMAN BOOBS, along with attractive Teutonic GERMAN women who appear to be very well constructed, like a 1980s Mercedes. It's kind of like a cross between Stranger Things and Twin Peaks (shit description I know), it's ostensibly a sci-fi type affair but there are lots of dark human relationships and history and secrets, there's a whole time travel thing going on as well. I binged on Season 1 and will start on Season 2 shortly. It's got an English dub but I watched it in GERMAN with English subtitles, it's quite talky in places so there are lots of subs. Good watch, I really enjoyed Season 1. Wasn't sure about the first couple of episodes but I'm really getting into this. Proper mind fucky stuff. |

It's good innit? I haven't started on Season 2 yet but it's taking priority over Stranger Things Season 3. Also, solid 1 on the Craster scale. |

Did I say I'd watched Stranger Things? Well, I have. I thought it was a bit meh, to be fair. I wasn't really that interested, I didn't like the monster and I didn't like the way they split the party. And what the fuck was going on with the singing?! |

Other criticism: I think this one was a bit too try-hard with the whole 80s thing. Maybe that was always the case - GLOW is set in the 80s and it's just set in the 80s, whereas Stranger Things likes to strut around waving its big old 80s dick whether you want them to or not. GLOW certainly don't rub Coke cans into your face. Oh, and they got the Planck constant wrong. |
