I read somewhere that there might be a Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina crossover.

In one of the first 2 episodes of Sabrina, one of the characters is talking about moving schools. A second respondssomething like: "Which one, Riverdale?"

They're near each other, Riverdale has referenced it a lot. Miss Grundy lived there, and the ghoulies/Penny sell drugs there. They've also said it's more dangerous than the Southside so there's definitely potential for it.

They are both from Archie Comics. A crossover is pretty much inevitable at some point.

Yeah, this. They’re canonically in the same universe, back to the ‘60s first stories.

I was ten minutes into episode 1 then noticed DareDevil S3 had dropped so I'm torn. I've also got halfway through ep 1 of Ozark...I can't decide what to watch first .... It's great to have too much to watch for once!

I will probably annoy the crap out of people saying this, but I still don't think he did it.

I also got very cross when watching the "confession" or rather, "Here let us tell you all of the details so you can agree to them". I then got even more enraged watching that smug twat tell the press stuff he should not have, generally walking around like a cock (hen) saying "Look how amazing I am !".

I still think, from the 3 hours I have seen so far, that he did not do it and they totally set him up. And I think that the very fact that he returned home with his head held high (maybe a bit martyr like as I said before) that caused the set up.

I shall watch on, through clenched teeth.

Episode 5 of The Haunting of Hill House was fantastic. The one with the Bent Neck Lady? Bloody loved it.

I’m really enjoying the performances from all the actors; which have been positively outstanding, with the exception of kid Luke who’s a little twat.

Goddamnit, I was really looking forward to this. Unless it's a case of a stopped clock is right twice a day?

The Haunting of Hill House is fantastic. I guess if Sat was wrong 100% of the time, he'd become too useful a barometer, so he has to throw in the odd valid opinion now and again to keep you on your toes.

First season I was taken in, then saw everything they left out that convinced me he was guilty. Then Staircase came out and the same thing happened and I vowed never to be taken in again.
Started season 2 looking for the holes... And now I'm convinced again they didn't do it!

So then, Making A Murderer Season 2.

He didn't do it then, right? I think Kathleen Zellner at least did enough to warrant a new trial, and she did what the attorneys didn't do first time around, which is identify the people who were far more likely the culprits.

Amazed that The Supreme Court wouldn't allow that pre-trial investigation thingy or whatever it's called.

But isn't that it now? Where else can they go?

The Haunting Of Hill House Is great but you get to episode 9 and I’m tired of people monologuing. It’s such a trite form of storytelling that terrible programmes use too often. This series is better than that.

Ok, I’ve finished off The Haunting of The Hill House.

Episodes 1-6 are top-tier stuff, then it starts to descend as it reaches the finale. Not much, mind, but there’s something tonally about the last, say, 2 episodes that wasn’t present in the earlier episodes. I can’t put my finger on what it was, at the minute, but there was something unsurprising about those last two episodes. The revelations and the horror house tropes coupled with the stock helping-hand ghost just felt like a heavy dip in quality. Maybe quality isn’t the right word, I’m still figuring this out in my head, but whereas the series started off feeling fresh and wholly original the revelations and the ending felt kinda obvious and boring.

It didn’t help that the finale was, unfortunately, too long and filled with fucking poetry ghosts and cryptic conversations. The earlier episodes had people having real, believable conversations about real shit but then people started monologuing and talking almost exclusively in similes and metaphors. It felt, just...like it had been done a million times before. It should have been tighter paced but it was laboured and bloated. Which was utterly unlike 8 out of 10 episodes which were just the right length - and some of those hit 60 minutes which is often too long for a television episode.

It’s a 8/10 from me for the series. That’s 8 great episodes and 2 sort of crap un’s (but really that bad - just not “great” like the others).

Yeah, it wrapped up too nicely.
Would have been better to have the whole place go up in flames with some / all of them in I think.

Overall though, it's still the best ghost story TV show I've seen.

So apparently in The Haunting of House Hill there’s a whole bunch of ghosts in the backgrounds. Apart from all the obvious ones that you were probably supposed to see I didn’t see any of these.

This dude has them listed in a video. Some of these seem like a real reach to me but a couple are genuinely creepy (the statue that moves her head and a kitchen ghost are cool). They’re kinda ace Easter eggs.

Anyway, look at it if you want.

I watched it for the lulz. There weren’t many lulz. Mind you, surprisingly it wasn’t the worse thing in world.

I did see the turning head statue and figured there would be more going on that I'd missed. I'll be rewatching the whole show at some point. Tried to get MrsZ to watch some last night but she asked me to turn it off after 10 mins :)

Heh - I'd have to disagree there, it did feel like a reasonably realistic depiction of some guys beating the shit out of each other, and one of them being very good at using what little energy he had left.

Yeah, this. They’re canonically in the same universe, back to the ‘60s first stories.

Except Sabrina is set in the 60s, and Riverdale is set in the nows.

The new Sabrina certainly isn't set in the 60s.

Um... It isn't? Are you sure? They all drive 60s cars and there's no technology.

Harvey has a mobile phone.

They have iPhones and laptops, and in the first episode there was a screen that said “October 28th of this year”. It’s deliberately ambiguous.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Ambrose is openly gay and goes on a date with another man in a coffee shop in broad daylight. Can't see that happening in the 60s.
