I finished Mr in between last night and loved every second of it!
I can't recall who recommended it but either way, thanks. It was great.

Glad you liked it. The story of it getting made is good. Don't think this is the one I first read which made the point more pithily, but still good. https://www.smh.com.au/culture/tv-and-r ... 5c3r6.htmltldr: The lead, Scott Ryan, hadn't had much luck with acting, but found a showrunner who refused to make it unless he was the star.

The weird thing is I spent most of the first season trying to remember what I'd seen him in before. When I found out that was his first acting gig wasn't quite a mindblown.gif moment but not far off.

I watched the first episode of Indian Police Force last night. It's in Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe with Singham and co.
It was full of the production qualities of those films, but it was a bit boring, the general premise is that there is a bombing campaign in Delhi, and the Indian Police Force have to try and prevent any further destruction. It felt a bit 24, but in India, I'll probably go back and watch the rest.
On a side note, I watched it on Amazon Prime, it's the first thing I've seen since they introduced adverts, there was one advert in the middle of the episode, right in the middle of a scene, not the best place to put it, but it was only 15-20 second long. It was a little annoying, mostly due to the placement of the ad, but not too bad,
What was worse, however, was setting up the language options. It defaulted to dubbed in English, which I really don't like. I was easily able to turn the subtitles on, but choosing the audio language was tricky.
Ideally there would have been a default option listed, but there wasn't (at least not in English), and all the options were written in their own language. I had to choose 5 or 6 different options, before I worked out the one that matched the lip movement. Not ideal, but hopefully it will remember my choice for next time (without affecting other stuff I watch on Amazon)

I watched the second episode, and apart from a Bollywood dance number it was more soap than anything else. It needs to pick up soon, if it wants me to keep watching...
Ad wise, two adverts at the start lasting for a total of 40 seconds and 1 advert for 30 seconds about 17 minutes in.
Subs and dubs kept their settings.

House of Ninjas is good fun.
A Killer Paradox is not quite as good and less fun though it isn't the usual bleak Korean horror
Both on Netflix, like all the good Asian stuff is these days.

Finished '3 Body Problem' on Netflix last night. Excellent stuff, they've really nailed translating a 'hard' sci fi series into something with emotional heft whilst maintaining the hard sci fi aspects. There is some clanking dialog and there are some visits from Basil Exposition but they are few and fleeting. Standout is Benedict Wong playing an investigator, I watched marvelling at his Mancunian accent...until I learnt he grew up in Eccles, Greater Manchester.

I can't remember the details now but there has been at least one moment where Wong's character in 3 Body Problem seems to be almost directly referring to his role as Wong in the MCU.
We've got one episode left, have been enjoying it quite a lot.
I can't imagine it will help get netflix unbanned in China though.

We are trying to finish off Constellation before we start another complicated sci-fi show.
