Well yes, but they only progress their incubation when you're walking, so surely it's better to have two eggs incubating at once rather than one, two is better than three, and so on?

I also had my first Pokemon evade capture a little earlier, I walked over to the Co-Op to get a few bits and pieces. This should have taken about ten minutes. Forty-five minutes later I returned home......

Just outside our front door a Pokemon came into range, one I hadn't seen before although I forget the name, when I engaged it, it had an orange capture circle instead of green (this means tougher to catch), sure enough I managed to get it inside the Pokeball, but it then burst out and fucked off >:( I also had to put down two shopping bags to facilitate the capture attempt, which I'm sure didn't look at all silly.

Saw plenty of people walking around Ramsey playing, this game seems to be quite the thing.

Astonishingly, Pokemon ;)

Click on them in your Pokemon page to put them in an incubator.

What comes out of the eggs, then? And what is the difference between the two incubators I have?

I have out an egg in each

You start with an infinite use one. You get an extra one at level six or so that you can use three times. And...Pokemon come out of the eggs.

Yeah it chews through nearly 20% every 30 minutes on my S7, pretty brutal. I guess 'cause it's outside the auto-brightness ramps the brightness up, the screen is on constantly, it's constantly hammering GPS and needs a chunk of data as well, plus the app itself probably gulps a fair bit of juice too.

A mate has invited me to a SECRET CLOSED GROUP on Facebook, Team Mystic IOM (the blue team), there are discussions underway about mounting a big attack on a heavily guarded red gym nearby, people asking for blue gyms to be fortified, asking for meet-ups, all sorts of stuff.

The main Pokemon Go IOM group is now up to 440 members and growing constantly, seems really lively and a proper mix of folks on there too.

We are off out in a few minutes for some family Pokemon hunting, Mrs H has it on her Z5 Compact and me on my S7, and Hearthly Jnr will be assisting us both.

Russell took me Pokemon hunting in the park, along with everyone else in the town aged between 15-45. We all have each other embarrassed looks as we stood around catching Psyduck.

I did see a Mewtwo in the area, but never had any poke balls. blast.

Post subject:  Re: Pokemon Go

Well that didn't go entirely according to plan, servers are completely down so we couldn't even get the game to launch.

Hearthly Jnr was not impressed, since she'd been building herself up to getting out of the house all day, and catching Pokemon was supposed to be the reward for doing so.

We walked to the Co-Op to get some carrots and a treat instead, where a dog jumped and barked at her (it was on one of those 'leads' which is about three miles long so don't actually control the animal in any meaningful way whatsoever), which then sent her into a wild panic, couldn't get her home quick enough, and she's now a total wreck on the couch.

Oh well, can't win 'em all, let alone catch 'em all.

It sucks battery and keeps locking. A pain really.

I have attached a gym defeated a strong Pokemon but cost me 5.

Any tips for powering up. Do you do that before evolving?

Post subject:  Re: Pokemon Go

Current consensus seems to be to power up as much as you can, then evolve.

Post subject:  Re: Pokemon Go

Well we did at least manage to go on a reasonable Pokemon hunt today around the town and harbour and along the quay, although the app really is flaky as fuck.

Between me and Mrs H I lost count of the glitches, lags, lockups, server failures and god knows what else.

Hearthly Jnr did enjoy catching the Pokemon and doing the Pokestops though.

I had a crack at a gym for a giggle and very quickly found myself with six dead * Pokemon, which cost me six revive potions and then six healing potions to get them back into action.

Overall I like it though, and it's cool to have something to do as a family unit as a sort of 'purpose' to the walk, as getting Hearthly Jnr outside can be a challenge sometimes.

* Sorry, 'fainted'.

You are better off catching a higher CP pokemon in the wild and evolving that, rather than spending stardust to power up a low CP pokemon

Well I guess it's an easy first step, some interlopers probably won't want to even go to the first stage of deception, even if it would be dead simple to fake.

So after the first wave of banishment, we can move to serious inquisition, secret ballots, bricks through windows, hate campaigns, coups, BREXIT etc.

"Police in Florida have used the incident as an opportunity to issue guidelines for teenagers and parents on safely playing the game."

Maybe use the incident as an opportunity to tell people not to shoot at other people?
