Thanks all. Hasn't sunk in properly yet but I do feel a bit less wired. We should get to hear the sentence within the next 20 odd days. The worst bit is I've been hearing about the people that didn't come forward and he's probably only been charged with about 30% of what he did.  However, for a while at least he's out of society. |

That may be normal, though. Or, if not normal, not unusual - you shouldn't feel bad about it, nor dwell on it (I mean, I know it's not as simple as that, but still). I bet it's rare that a serious criminal is actually charged with every thing they've done - time, cost, etc.etc., plenty of factors. So! Cheer the result and see about moving on. |

I did that to my Fitbit, twice. Not the waterproof watch, just the wrist with display type. Also tumble dried it twice. Still works. AirPrint two trips through the tumble dryer on high was surprising to me! Glad your ear poos are all working. I bet they are not cheap. |

 IF I type messages to my Ma, tge text will catch on sword and take two, three, five turns, it’s lije it keeps forcing itself to the incorrect word. I genuinely don’t k ow what it happens. Sometimes I have to put spaces between each letter to make it say what I want to. |

I find the same. Not writing to your ma, but it's particularly bad on a specific other forum, it'll pick a wrong word with the right one on the alternatives bar and I can hit 6 times before it actually drops it in. Or just decides it's had enough and stops offering sane words altogether. If I go back earlier in a sentence it will quite often start randomly rewriting the following text as utter gibberish too. |

I went to the optician today for the first time in (mumbledy mumble) forever (mumbly) I think my last eye test was in primary school. Anyway... so I have outstanding distance vision, especially ‘for my age’, according to the 11 year old testing my eyes. Yay. But I need reading glasses for close up work, reading, knitting, etc. Nay. BUT, there was no hint of brain tumours or other nasties, things that they’d look out for in my eye exam, so said the cheery email I got to confirm my appointment. Yay. I think my prescription is quite minor. Can anybody understand this gibberish? I’d kind of like to know what it means. Basically, am I going blind, or are my eyes okayish? |

Small prescriptions are recommended against 'fixing' with glasses as they can accelerate worsening. Better to change your focal depth a lot and make the muscles work. Unless that recommendation is wrong again since I last heard it. |

I’m getting dizzy to the point of feeling sick every time I try to read, but it’s tge switching between distance and close up that’s making me feel awful. I would avoid glasses if I can, but at the same time I don’t know that I can go on feeling like this on top of everything else that’s going wrong with me. |

years ago I had already picked my funky frames when I finally got my turn to get tested, I got a similar result and the guy said "no glasses for you" I was so deeply disappointed that he took pity on me and gave me a 4 pack of plastic reading glasses for 10 E and sent me on my way I'm sorry you feel so poorly Mimi, you could try some cheap ones from the pharmacy and see if they make you feel better xxx |

My asthma/bronchitis hasn't been under control since I got pregnant and wasn't allowed my good meds, Katie turned 9 a few weeks ago ... long story skip to now, I had an awful conversation with the specialist over the phone last Tuesday, he kept talking louder and louder over me until I said I wasn't having this conversation over the phone. So appt this morning (minor miracle anyway) and I was absolutely sick with worry feeling so utterly dependent on the whim of another person but I asked for what I think I need right now and he gave it to me?!! 2 weeks antibiotics, a different inhaler (on top of all the other crap I'm taking) and a 2 month pause from experimenting! Nothing is properly resolved, but I can't believe I'm getting a literal breather! |

Yay: I've had the busiest few months of my career which, if all things work out, will mean I can pay off the vast majority of my non-mortgage debt in the next 6 months. Nay: I feel like I'm inches from total burnout and hiding in my bed for the foreseeable future.

Before my birthday, December, Darwin and I came down with a bad virus. they said at one point that Darwin could lose his sight. I’m happy to say his sight is fine. Being so wrapped up in worry for him I muddled through until 23rd December when I made an emergency appointment as my chest hurt and my heart felt wrong, and I was dizzy and falling over. Between Christmas and New Year I collapsed whilst out in town and was taken to hospital. I’ve been in a fight with the NHS these past four months with chest pains and a heart beat that skips constantly and then gave a double beat. We have had my mum living with us for over two months because my heart started giving bigemini beats every single beat, which causes me to black out, collapse and start to fit. And I couldn’t be left alone with my child as I’ve been a danger to him. My life has been a bit of a personal hell not just for me, but Russell, my child, my mother. They’ve all been amazing, though. But recently the effects have lessened. The bigemini has calmed. I’ve not passed out in weeks. I’ve finally got the result of my scans and five day traces. My heart is strong. In pregnancy apparently the heart calves change behaviour to accommodate the extra supply, and change back after. Mine have taken longer than usual and the virus affected my heart and kicked off tge arrhythmia. We’ve been waiting these four months to see if it is symptomatic of something worse. Finally we know it’s not. It’s both improving and will eventually disappear, and manageable in the meantime with meds. The pain is gone, too. My head is still not right and I have terrible head pain and vertigo and a new fight to get that looked at, as I can’t look down (to knit, right! Or okay trains with my little guy), and that fight started today. (False start because my doctor is a dick), but we’ll get there. A yay, after a long, scary time. Still a ways to go, but we are getting there. Zardoz said in my 40th birthday that it was all heart attacks from here. Thanks, Z!! Next time predict something less terrifying, yeah? And I know a lot of folks here have been mega supportive to me on social media and such. Thanks everyone. It’s been amazingly difficult for us to keep our heads up during this whole year, but you’ve really made ALL the difference these past few months between me losing all hope and just having that spark of faith. And gosh, I know she won’t read this, but my Ma has been just amazing. |
