Probably for the best. I was going to tell DrZ to pick me one up whilst I was there and ignore anything Russell instructed him of otherwise (unless it was 'get two!'

The Plasterer came today. There is a trail of destruction from the curb outside our house right through the house to the downstairs loo at the back.

I am sat on the bed with a pack of large double chocolate chip cookies.

I am uncertain if you have a street of toilets at the back, or a saint in your downstairs toilet.

My current job is a maternity cover role but this morning I've found out that the lady I'm replacing is coming back early. As early as the beginning of October!

I've been reassured that my role will carry on though and I am being kept on until the end of February (initially I thought it was January) so overall... a yay and a nay?! I think?

Oh... and she wants her desk back.

You'll just have to get her pregnant again.

Yeah, I'm not going to worry about it. There's plenty to be done around the place so I'm sure I'll be kept busy.

As for her headphones... I have no idea what you're talking about.

My dad might need to get his hip joint resurfacing redone, so he can't go on holiday to Washington in November and he has non refundable tickets.

He's said I can have them if we can get time off work.

You'd best have the same names as the price for changing tickets is the same as cancelling and rebooking.

If he cancels he'll get his taxes and airport duties back which is about 50% of the cost in many cases.

Varies wildly with different fare classes (which are not the same thing as cabin classes.) It can be free, even, on some airlines and in the highest tiers.

I know what Zoidberg looks like and where to find him.

How about I 'incapacitate' him, and you go with Zoidlady, Grim...?

There's nothing in it for me except the promise of violence.

Had two interviews last week.

Nay: Not progressing on either.
Yay: feedback was absolutely positively superb and all that, only did not progress due to needing experience.

Where dies this leave me? The CV works as got called to interviews, I interview brilliantly* from the feedback. therefore now I need to find a role that gives me the line management experience I need to hit the two roles I interviewed for.

Worthwhile exercise

* It is, of course, little surprise that I enjoy talking to people where the sole topic is me me me and how great I am.

You clearly need to expand upon how your line management expertise extends not just to official line management, but also the amazing job you did of training and mentoring people with whom you have worked.
