Honestly... It's like you guys don't want me to play good games or something!

I was left a bit underwhelmed by it, I mean it wasn't bad, perfectly decent but I was expecting a lot more greatness after reading the reports on here. I think you all got a bit carried away, like with Firefly.

It's merely very good until you get to Effects And Cause, which is superb.

Yeah that was pretty neat, but I don't remember it being much of the game.

I'm bit too fumblefingered and got easily annoyed by some of the on-foot wall running stuff, but overall enjoyed it very much. Big robot stompy-stomp.

I got annoyed with the single player section in the factory, where it decided it was a platform game which would just kill you for the lols sometimes.

I should pick it up and complete that section and do the rest of the campaign at some point, but I just prefer the multiplayer on the whole.

It was an awesome £12 game. It was a deeply flawed £45 game. It’s very enjoyable; but for the people happier playing nothing more dexterously challenging than a jigsaw puzzle, it’s deeply flawed

And that's Titanfall 2 completed! I really enjoyed that. Well worth the £20 I paid for it ages ago.

That's what I guessed. Well, I think it's fair to say the SP is a total sideshow in Titanfall, like it is in CoD; it's very much a multiplayer game first. So this:

is probably working as intended for the single player bit

The single player was a good fun romp. Much better than recent cods.

After a break of about two years, I decided to give Titanfall 2 another go, and it's bloody marvellous. Which is news to nobody, obviously.

BUT, I am struggling with the titans, if I'm honest. I suspect I'm in a minority of one, but the combat as the pilot is so nimble and balletic, it feels a bit of a chore when I have to get in my lumbering titan.

I've got to the fight with Kane, and I'm getting my giant metal arse handed to me because I'm seemingly incapable of doing much more than moving slowly from place to place, firing some missiles, then lumbering to a different spot, and firing more missiles.

Then I had a thought this morning, the Dash button - is one meant to use that almost as one would the roll button in Dark Souls?

It probably doesn't help but the best titanfall 2 bits in combat is where you are in a giant robot and punch another giant robot IN THE FACE

The dash button is invaluable for fighting other Titans. I use it all the time!

I've started it twice, got through the tutorial, and stopped. Maybe third time will be the charm.

I enjoyed it. Blasted through campaign then did a bit of multiplayer too. It was ‘free’.

This is, by a long way, my favourite MP game. The tower defense mode is brilliant and the class balancing is spot on, it's the only game I actually use multiple different classes and weapons.

There is only Scorch.

Tittyfall 1 is on Game Pass/EA whatsit at the moment. I gave it a go and was surprised to see that the MP, cause that’s all it’s got, is near identical to Titty 2. I don’t know why I thought there was supposed to be a big leap from one to t’other; it was probably just the single player campaign. So if you wanted to play some new maps and have an Xbox then I’d suggest you give titty 1 a go.

I got Scorch last night, and I'm not sure I love the big track of thermite you spunk in a straight line. Feels a bit indelicate. Will see if I warm to it (arf).

It’s all I ever use in multiplayer. Judicious use of indirect fire, gas canisters and thermite trails FTW. Just if you’re clumsy like me be sure to take the ‘your own thermite doesn’t hurt you’ perk.

Nice. All this excited chatter means I may actually wet my multiplayer wick for once with Titanfall.
