My PC has just started power cycling.

It powers on for a few seconds then powers off then powers on.

I have taken the memory out 1 at a time, unplugged each HDD and removed the graphics card, with no luck.

Any suggestions before i take it to the local PC shop?

Dying PSU? It would be the first thing I'd swap if I had all the bits to try anyway.

The power button on my PC often sticks if you press it in at a slight angle and you have to flick it out from the casing a bit when you switch it on. The other day it got totally stuck for the first time and I noticed that what this does is make it switch on and off constantly with a few seconds delay between each action. Worth checking something like that hasn't happened to yours purely because the behaviour sounds so similar.

It did not get that far... powered on, powered off after a second or 2. :(

Dropped it off at a mate who builds them.

TBH boot loops can mean anything. Bad contact on the PSU, bad PSU, bad CPU, bad GPU etc.

Obviously the easiest way to sort it out is to take it to some one who has spare parts and can replace one at a time :)

Hope it gets sorted out quickly :)

No the easiest way to fix it, is to buy a new PC.

If you wish to discuss Windows 10, I suggest you start a thread on the subject.

Have you tried yelling and hitting the case?

PC Help sounds like just the kind of chap to assist a young boy retrieving his football from a group of bullies whilst teaching everyone a good moral lesson on friendship and sharing.

I am disappointed in this thread.

I'm sure if PC Help us reading this, Kovscs, he would help you fix your complicator.

Yeah if you are rich or a wastrel.

I'd say try PC with minimum needed components, ie graphic card (have you upgraded that recently?) unplug any secondary hard drive, dvd rom, anything else that draws power.

See if that can get it to power up.

If so, then they are diagnostic tools you can see to see if it is the PSU. What brand of PSU and rating do you have btw?

This thread does highlight how many smart alecs and chocolate teapots are left, when someone needs concrete advice and help, bit sad really. Wouldn't like to be in a restaurant with some of you if I needed the Heimlich manoeuvre (look it up)

Nothing like mortgage tracker rate advice when youre drowning in a swimming pool eh?

PM me if you need more details KovacsC.
