Me and the chaps dusted this off last night and played the new PUBG-style 'Motor Wars' Adversary Mode. (Added in August I believe.) There are multiple teams of between 2-14 players, the teams drop out of their own Cargobob transports in different areas of the map, parachute down to ground, and then scavenge vehicles and weapons to kill the other team with, (you don't get to take any of your own inventory). As you might imagine it's an extremely fun game mode, although we were almost comically bad at it (merely reaching the ground alive without some kind of parachute/wind farm/mountain side/etc calamity occurring proved tricky enough at first), we were getting better as the evening went on though. Then we finished off with a couple of missions to get one of the guys some cash as he hasn't done much online before, and they're always entertaining. Overall it's a phenomenally good game, always a pleasure to return to and a guaranteed evening of top-class entertainment. |

Yes -- several of the bunkers and hangers are 50-60% off. I grabbed a Fort Zancudo hanger and a mid-range bunker for a combined price of 2.1 mill. (I'm very poor now though.) |

Yes I got about three million pop-ups telling me about all the new stuff that's in the game, and I'm sat on a reasonable pile of cash (about $2.3M IIRC). Do the hangars and bunkers offer up extra stuff that you can do in multiplayer with your chums? Like, new heist style things or missions? |

So a mate at work is now a billionaire in this, specifically he has $5.2 billion dollars - and it's all down to SHENANIGANS. He was playing multiplayer over the weekend and became aware of weird stuff happening on the 'server', it started raining cars at Los Santos Autos, then everyone on the server died simultaneously and it was the same player who was shown as killing all of them. The talk in chat was that a modder was on the server, then the message went out to go down to a certain airport building for free money, and true enough a player was making it rain money bags, he didn't get much on that occasion, just a couple of million, but was intrigued enough to find out more. The player who'd made it rain money was a member of a clan, so he went to that clan's website and had a little poke around, there were some Discord server details so he joined the server and found all the channels were very nicely organised into different activities and scams. A message said if you wanted free money to join a specific channel and wait for an admin to turn up, so he joined that channel and once there were about 10 of them in there an admin turned up and said to join him in a game for free money. Once on the server they all went to the same building at the airport and the money raining began again, this time it carried on for over an hour. My mate just watched The Grand Tour (or whatever it's called) on Amazon, and when he returned to the game his balance was showing as 5.2 BILLION dollars. We worked out this morning that to buy that much in-game cash with real money via Shark Cards would cost........ £49,000. He said the whole thing was run like a proper criminal enterprise, incredibly well organised and efficient, quite ironic considering it's in a GTA game. Just goes to show what happens when you let your players run the 'servers' because you're too cheap to provide dedicated servers, and the game is running on the PC platform so can be modded. |

Tell him to buy loads of stuff immediately. There's a good chance R* will unwind the exploit and reclaim cash, but they never seem to reclaim purchases. You can buy tons of cars, wait a bit, watch your excess dodgy money evaporate, then sell the cars again. Alternatively, they might just ban his entire account. That's a thing now. There's warnings when you sign in. |

Yes that was one of the pieces of advice they gave, to put a load of cash in assets that can be sold back to vendors in the game should Rockstar come along and reclaim all the cash. Why he carried on to a nonsensical amount like billions of dollars I have no idea, $100M would be enough I'd have thought, and perhaps less likely to attract attention. The chat he heard suggested that they tend to do a sweep of cash reclaiming when there's a new wave of DLC ready to drop, but beyond that not much tends to happen. |

Sort of. You can do "jobs", which are along the lines of "You and some randos (or on your own, if you want) go here and kill everyone and then go here and pick X up then go here to drop it off". Or you can race against randos, or shoot randos, and stuff like that. You can also do a "heist" which are four-player harder missions which involve planning and teamwork. There's a new one of them dropping tomorrow, which is why people are excited. Or you can just dick around with your mates in one of the most lovely sandpits ever created. |

However that didn’t have flying deloreans. The buy in is expensive. I had to get a nuclear bunker first, the cheapest of which was the only one I could afford at 1.2m. Then the funding was another 65k. This put us at the northern tip of the island so a hell of a lot of driving. However! It is titled Act I, so there will be more to see here. |
