I note Tim Farron's getting a lot of stick for not saying if he thinks gay sex is a sin or not. It doesn't matter what he thinks about it: what matters if he wants to stop others doing it. That's kind of what liberalism's about, but doesn't make as good headlines.

Much depends on how inoffensive M. Macaron is to moderates on either side, but French politics is always very fractious. Really should read more French history and contemporary politics on it at some point.

I've given it a bit of thought over the weekend, and am still mulling over that although getting rid of Davies would be good, having WEP leader rocking up and standing at the potential cost of Green Party and Labour candidates is not the way to do it. I am a bit miffed as it seems to be a publicity minded move, and I don't think Shipley would benefit from this.

I disagree. Women's equality is an important issue and I think the publicity is important. Going after Davies seems a very sensible way of both highlighting your key issue and taking a mysogenistic twat out of the governing body.

It's worth voting WEP there just for the idea of how much seething Davies would do should they oust him!
