It's a better result for the Tories than Labour, but hardly surprising as Labour have looked poor recently. I think if you were trying to express the electorate's voice in a single word it'd be 'Meh', or maybe, 'Duhhhh'.

The trams in Manchester and surrounding area have bricks and stuff thrown at them daily, and groups of ‘feral yobs’ often intimidate and/or attack people both on the trams and in some stations. My local tram stop is regarded as one of the most dangerous on the network.

Which stop is that? I remember when the Metrolink was brand spanking new, it went live just as I was finishing college. (Early 1992.)

We were over visiting family last year and did quite a bit of travelling on the Metrolink, albeit during the daylight hours for minimum yobbage.

I'm not even sure that qualifies as real Metrolink.

The Metrolink runs from Bury to Manchester, and Manchester to Altrincham is also permissible.

Everything else is voodoo and doesn't really exist, if you moved to the IOM in 1996.

I've been through there to Didders a few times and not had any trouble. Never had to get off though, so I shall than my stars.

I don’t use the Met much, but St. Werburgh’s isn’t really visible from the road, so scallies probably think they can mix it up with impunity. I’ve only used it for commuting occasionally and haven’t noticed any problems apart from a couple of fare dodgers, but I’m guessing that a lot of the trouble is at night when the late workers or drinkers are heading for home.

I encountered more problems when I used to commute on the bus every day, when I was office based, which was before they extended the met.
