Thought I’d start a new thread for these rather than muck up the non genre specific music thread.

Here’s my latest tune with a video. It features the wonderful Wendy Carlos.

Brilliant. I’d never heard of Wendy Carlos but have had a Wikipedia read and now have my lil’ bit of knowledge for the day.

I’m more into 70s folk than electronic music, but even I bopped along with my eyes closed, and now it’s stuck in my head.

Good stuff again mate, and unlike Mimi I quite liked the video and kept my eyes open.

Oh, I was the other way round, I just watched the videos on mute

These are really good Zardoz! I'm not going to pretend to "get" them but even a cloth-eared dunce like me can tell these are proper cool :)

These wonderful comments will all appear on the poster I make for my bedroom wall x

11 out of 12 tunes and vids done for 2024.

I’m glad I’ve set myself a month for each one as I tend to faff about too much at the 75% mark, the self imposed deadlines help me draw a line under it. Also makes me panic in the last week :D

12 for 12… been tough finding time this month with all the Christmas stuff going on. Got in a bit of a flap to be honest and I’m so glad I got this over the line.

Getting quicker finding my way round Ableton, realised there’s a lot more to bring out of my current gear so not ‘needing’ any other bits… see how long that lasts though :D

Here’s Icid, a wintery ditty to warm your cockles x

Brilliant this one mate. Keep it up.

Somebody I don’t know actually paid for one of my tunes!
User avatar
Fully justified to buy another synth now.
User avatar
Going to have to, to ride that musical wave
User avatar
I’m doing it for my fan.

Faffed about with this far too long, many many versions on my hard drive...

Anyway, time to call it a day on this and move on to the next ones.

It’s taken a loooooong time to move stuff around our house to get Master Z in the loft and me booted out into my own little studio… but it’s all done now (bar a long RCA cable for my turntable) and some monitor speakers. Now I just have to remember what everything does.

Is that an Orbital coaster? WTF has happened to Phil, or Paul, the one on the left?

Really nice setup you've got there mate.
User avatar
Looks a great set up..
User avatar
Cheers! Ha, that coaster was from Daisy at Christmas… the pic I think I’ve shown to everyone :)

(3 vintage Casios and a Yamaha to put on show too)

I really like that one, chilled and a bit funky too. The birds chirping gave it a relaxing sort of feel.

Cheers, Sir Taxalot. That blackbird was field recorded as I waited to be picked up for a record fair :nerd:

The retro section is now on display.

They'll get ruined when you fire up the sauna

I used to own that tiny Casio in the bottom right about 40 years ago. To this day I could probably go up to a piano and play the demo song from it.
User avatar
Mighty VL-Tone! They can go for crackers money on eBay, but I was lucky enough to nab that under £40 (I think) with a case.

Keen on Keys YouTube channel is to blame for that wall.
