So, so beautiful.I like the way the mummy almost uses her front flippers to ‘walk’ along the ground, and that baby is just so perfect, all the little floppy flappy swims. When this thing is over I want to go to The Netherlands for manatees and Efteling! It had been my plan before this thing all happened and I really, really want to do it!

Somewhat horrifically, you'll quite regularly see dead forgs in ponds cos the males drown the females in the breeding season. Which is probably around now given the mild winter.

Oooh, maybe that’s what happened. The frog looked HUGE because it was absolutely spread out arms and legs.

Youtube embedding needs you to copy and paste the last part of the URL in square brackets that say youtube /youtube e.g.

Well, after a summer of Theft Cat training we've only gone and done it.

Attachment:
JiJi-first day.png

Meet JiJi! Only 5 months old, her Mam gave birth at the cat adoption centre to 6 furry voids. She's a bundle of love and joy. So much energy! She's a bit backwards as she purrs when she's trying to get my attention and meows when she's happy. As I type she's just gone into the kitchen for the first time and is running rampant with Teh Zooms.

Sadly no. I haven't seen her since September so probably the cold. We're keeping JiJi as a house cat so their interactions might be awkward. We have to sort out to sort out her vaccinations too.

Ah okay, our two boys have an unusual policy when it comes to other cats coming in our garden/house. They seem to not care at all as long as the visiting cat has peaceful intentions. So it's not a given that if theft cat comes around there will be trouble.

Oh that’s so cute! I love ducks. I rescued a mother duck and her seven ducklings at around this time last year. I had to stop all the traffic on the main ring road to help them cross to the canal, and all the big lorries, etc waited so patiently as I ferried them across, which was so refreshing.

A couple of years back I saw an articulated lorry driver stop tea time traffic on the main road into town to let a hedgehog cross.

There are still some nice people about, thankfully.

Aw, how adorable. I love things like that.

We were at the lights to a junction with a turning onto a motorway a few days ago. In front of us, the first at the lights, was a learner driver. We were directly behind them, with a long line of cars behind us.

When the lights went green they had several false starts, and then stalled the car, and this kept happening until
The lights eventually went red again, and we waited for the next cycle.

Not one person beeped their horn, despite it being g very unlikely that many of the cars behind us could see it was a learner. That really cheered me.

(The learner wasn’t going onto the motorway, but there is a roundabout built in that can also take you under the motorway ramp).
