You might be interested to know that this site was blocked in Hobart airport. I'd have sent a screenshot but, you know, life, short, etc.

@Mimi: xxx !
I've just received an inbox spam (from a user with 0 posts) about captcha breaking; I forwarded a screenshot to Grim... and gazchap because they seem to know what they're doing.
That's great. I've wanted to break Google Recaptcha 2 for a while now
Who hasn't? If I'd known I'd have forwarded it to you too!
I have also had this but haven’t opened it in case it was danger.
Hello! I'm Joans!
Ta. The enterprising fellow has been banned
A ban won't work fool! In just a month or so they'll be back again! Their software is that good!
Clearly he used his mad bot detection avoiding software to cunningly circumvent our registration checks
Was it him that got me drunk? Because that's why I approved him!
And then waited a month to brag about it. It would be uncouth otherwise.

Wait, are you talking about me now?
Man, people PM MaliA some weird stuff.
I don't care what you PM me, as long as you PM me.
Is it possible to define the size of a photo attachment so it doesn’t appear huge?

I suck at hte internet, but I used to be able to enter some sort of parameters to change jpg sizes on iamcal.com (Grim probably remembers) but I’ve never needed that facility elsewhere.
No. Blame Trooper.

Are they too big for your screen, or something?
Kinda. I’m using an iPad most of the time, and photos usually end up filling the screen and shrinking the other text-only entries into a narrower column. It’s not a show stopper.

Noted. Thanks.

Using that address sometimes flags a security alert as the certificate is for beexcellenttoeachother.co.uk.

FYI
Don't go to https then ;)

You're not the boss of me
Tried to post an emoji.
Use the forum ones, not the ones on your phone. :)

It still shouldn't do that.
Well, it should, that's how it was written.

I'd rather it didn't, but it does.
Not moaning at all, just raisin it to your attention.

And now I’ve made that typo I’ll leave it there as an appraisal of the currant situation.
It’s an insultana to suggest Grim... was unaware.
We need Dimrill to do a full set of Unicode 10 Dimoji.
Has a new feature been added to make Gazchaps gorilla avatar hump Malis avatar of his head? Because that is what just started happening on my phone. (Seriously, it just slid down from the post above and started shagging away.)

Liquid lunch, Dave?
Nope.

If had the ability to record it, I would've. (and by then the slide had ended, and the bonkingwas fully underway.)

Something similar happened here too (although I'm on a desktop and his avatar just started moving up and down). I just assumed it was my browser throwing a wobbler.
oh oh oh I saw it too, I'm in the club,

:ninja: Caught it first time :metul:

The top image was sort of flashing on & off (but not animating). Scrolling the window made it flash faster. Trippy. I suppose I could have recorded it, but... meh, I probably should be doing some real work

exciting update:

Can't duplicate it though - going back to the same page doesn't make it happen again. awww :(
Fans of NEW THINGS are urged to try out https://fast.beexcellenttoeachother.com ... um.php?f=3 (mobile users can go to https://fast.beexcellenttoeachother.com ... 0&style=26 ) to see some (hopefully) pretty noticeable speed increases.
Wow, that is loads faster! What did you do?
I probably shouldn't say ;)
I get a DNS error. Quickly, mind.

Hmm, it's probably still propagating.

Give it another shot later on.
I've never seen a blank page load quicker.

Loads very fast for me, but the URL bar doesn't say the fast bit after I click the link and continue browsing elsewhere. Am I still on the fast site at that point?

Does this mean you can bring back the 'threads I've posted in' dots now?

No. What link do you click to "go elsewhere"?

I actually suspect this would stop them from working even if I turned them back on - sorry. You can always do an (excellently-named) Egosearch: search.php?search_id=egosearch

Oh wait, I see what's happened.

Use this link instead: https://fast.beexcellenttoeachother.com ... um.php?f=3
This is indeed fast.

OK, the URLs seems identical to me, but yep, each link is now fast.beex....

I can't wait to see what you did :)
You should already be seeing it - roughly a 0.6 second time to first paint (load time, sort of).

[edit] Actually, 0.6s is time to interactive. Christ.
Spill the beans - is that some sort of caching going on, or have you switched to HTTP/2 or something?
