I think I'm twenty-something online..... (It's SDG's fault! She set up my Facebook.)
In real life, I'm... Ermm... Closer to 18 than 10?

Anybody actually tried and got into the online side yet? I'm planning on buying a months gold sub and giving it a go this weekend.

I haven't tried again since.

I've spent the last two days trying intermittently. Most of the time I can't connect to a server. The time I did, I created my character, saw the opening cutscene and then looked at a loading screen for 30 mins before giving up.

I'd wait until it's more stable before buying Live.

Was broken last night. Logged in, some other people appeared and then vanished, and then I had to race against the computer. I set a world record which seemed unlikely as if Burnout Paradise was anything to go by, Dimrill would already be all over it.

On single player I was on the Marriage Counselling level when this happened:

Tried again, same thing. Very annoying. Turned off the Xbox and played the SNES instead. Broken games REALLY irritate me.

Finally made it through the initial race mission this morning. Patch not on Xbox yet (or at least I didn't get an update when I started the game).

His Clueless Gamer stuff is generally quite good here is the GTA5 one

I also liked the retro one they did where they showed him a number of old 2600 games :

At the beginning of the game I'd have had no qualms offing Trevor, as he's fucking horrible. For some reason though, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It just didn't seem right after all we'd been through.

I haven't even got GTAV (yet), but I'm so downloading iFruit app right now. Anything that gets me a virtual Rottweiler to look after on my iPhone for when I can't be with my real doggie gets my vote. :luv:

Just saw some youtube sequences; "Chop" is so realistic, movement is perfect when he jumps into the back of the car etc. Rockstar just seem to get all these little nuances and details so *right*, awesome.

It's not necessary, but it might make things easier.

Even after the patch online still seems incredibly buggy. Just lost all of my cash that was on me, which is made more annoying by the ATMs not showing up on the map, so I was actually looking around for one when I noticed it had gone.

Plus after each mission me and my mate were dropped onto different servers each time, and had to rejoin a game together.

Don't need to go to ATMs, just pull up your phone, go to Internet, then to Money & Services, then to Maze Bank.

Christ almighty, all I wanted to do was drive Franklin to the city to start a mission but resulted in 3 deaths because I was lobbing sticky bombs at cars. Then cops. Then RPGing helicopters. Then decided I wanted a 5 star rating. Then driving a truck at oncoming vehicles. Etc.

Suffice to say, I never did start that mission.

If I had to choose between Michael & Trevor then I'd have kept Trevor. The only reason Michael was entertaining was because of his family whereas the crank filled nutjob was consistently entertaining on his own, usually for all the wrong reasons. As it was having an option C made my day especially going around tying up the loose ends after the big battle.

97.5% complete, and I can't bring myself to do the final stunt jumps and knife flights to get to 100%.

I can't help but think Trevor's opening missions were the worst opening missions for a character ever. Not because shooting lots of people isn't fun (it was ok) but the character you start as isn't the character you eventually play as. Opening mission Trevor is an unlikable loon but 'normal' Trevor is a dark Jim Carrey-esq character just on the right side of psychotic. Rockstar missed a trick here, I think, they should have built him up to be a full raging psychopath over time; perhaps putting the opening missions near the end. They still might though cause I'm only on 49 mish out of 69 mishes.

I think that it is important to see Trevor at his worst. He is psychotic. The opening missions show exactly what he's capable of, and exactly why everyone is so terrified of him.

If anybody is playing GTA Online on PS3, hit me up. I'm fucking bored of joining random sessions full of screaming kids, constantly broadcasting microphones, and dicks that'd rather follow you all around the map in an attempt to off you rather than actually getting any bloody missions done.

PSN ID: Mentski (Pretty obviously)

I even have a "crew" Which seems to be utterly pointless as none of them are actively playing the cocking game.

I was playing last night and got stuck in a lobby full of Italian children. Because of Cott4ge, I won't be on again until next week.

So I started this yesterday my first GTA game, the single player tutorial like I suspected was filled with expletives but was humorous in places. I then moved onto the online game to complete that tutorial & joined up with a couple of guys from UGVM to try out some races, missions & a round of golf. Still in two minds about playing the single player but the online world is good fun. This will keep me going for my last year of xbox live.
