Pretty nice actually. Steering's incredibly tight, and it's fairly responsive. It can't wellie it until it's run in, and reports indicate that performance is significantly improved well up the rev counter.

It's a French car. It's not for driving. It's for entertaining your mechanic.

Nice, my Clio (mk2) was very nice to drive to - it handled so well.

Looks noice mate. :)

As for 'car colours for [lazy/slovenly] gets' (i.e. myself on both counts), may I heartily recommend silver as an ace choice. Red isn't at all bad either, as is navy blue.

(Both black and white are terrible at showing up the dirt in my view, though. Please don't kill or ban me. Thanks).

Silver does look quite nice but so many cars are that colour now that it's just a sea of grey. They should be beige with brown roofs like in the 70s.

None at all. I switch the stereo over to Aux, there's about a two-second pause, and off it goes, really good quality. Doubles as a voice-activated handsfree phone that way, too. Oh, and it's got a USB socket for charging.

Yeah, exactly. The only annoying thing is that it seems unable to access the phone's contacts, so you have to add them specifically for the car. Through the satnav 8)

Aha! Interesting. Because I thought the iPhone couldn't do that, by MyFinger's Parrot car kit picked up his contacts from his iPhone without problems, apparently.

I can't believe it's security - not when you've deliberately paired it, and it lets you make and receive calls.

Hmm, I agree silver is a pretty common 'safe' choice, but it is a very flattering colour for most cars? I still maintain it's the best at hiding a dirty car as well.

I don't like the Cayman in white personally, but I think it looks good in silver. I do like most Audis in 'storm trouper' white, though, and Craster's Clio looks pretty cool. I guess it depends on the car.

Now the Boxster Spyder, that looks okay in white. I think I'll wait six months for the S though.

Then still not be able to afford one.

Meh, just looked that up. Must admit, it does look filth in white - very impressive performance too (0-60 in 4.8 sec, 170mph)

Awesome. Hope the Cayman gets the same treatment.

Yeah as I said I think silver does look great on most cars, and lets be honest if you're a bloke and you aren't ordering a brand new one then other than not getting a pink one or something truly hideous then it shouldn't be much of a factor. There are some truly hideous colours around now though, Honda in particular seem to have an entire range of yucky "nail varnish" hues.

More importantly, they've finally relented and stuck an LSD in it. Presumably that means the base chassis isn't as good as the Cayman.

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts. I didn't buy new, but silver would've been pretty much the colour I'd have gone for with the possible exception of black, but I'd have been happy with gunmetal grey or dark blue as well, red at a push. Can't be dealing with 'highlighter yellow' or garish pink etc. though.

I've seen some Honda Jazz' in some truly awful colours; nail varnish like you say. Why on earth anyone would buy a *new* car in such a colour is totally beyond me, but hey, each to their own.

My Garmin Satnav could read the contacts off of my iPhone. The only thing it couldn't do was read received text messages out to me (it had Text-To-Speech functionality and could read out texts from other phones).

I'm sure read somewhere the latest (face lifted) Cayman S can now be ordered with an LSD even now, even though that'll mean it being faster than the much more expensive 911?

Me, I wish they'd do a Cayman RS, completely unshakled from embarrassing the 911. Mid engine is the way forward for Porsche.

Yup. To be fair, the speaker on that thing packed up and I haven't used it in about a year, but I'm sure my memory isn't that faulty. I'm fairly sure that if I received a call from someone in my Contacts, the Garmin would display the contact name on it's display.

3GS v3.1 and v3.1.2 both work with Parrot CK3100 (an installed kit rather than the sunvisor type)

It Just Worked. All I did was pair them and the iPhone pushed its contacts onto the kit.

My Nokia N95 8Gb needed a sync app to run in the background. Main difference is that the Nokia used the kit for all speaker and mic activity. Meaning satnav on the phone came out of the kit and SMS alerts did too. The iPhone doesn't it just uses the kit for voice during a call.

It has been for years. I know someone who had a v1 Boxster S with the engine out of a 911 in it. It was quick. There's nothing stopping you from going to have a chat with Ruf is there? Apart from it costing a bloody fortune?

Ah, excuse my ignorance.

I suppose there's not much point in me having an RS if it ever appears, except for pose value, as the current (old spec, old engine, no LSD) one I've got is still vastly better than my paltry driving skills are ever going to need. And I'm not one for 'modding'.

Damn, I lurrrve that car though. It's got so... [Cut!!!! - Ed]

Prius hit the Toerag which hit the Telsa which was apparently stopped at a red light.
