A plane of that size (A319) needs about 2000 metres of runway. Each square in Minecraft is 1m. You might want to get some wrist braces rigged up for your mouse hands while you build it. And quick! John McClane's wife is on that flight, and Chief O'Brien has already crashed.

The plane is superb. I wandered into the galley at the rear and turned to see the sun appearing over the horizon through the tiny window. Brought back memories of many transatlantic overnight flights, with the long lines to get into the restrooms in the morning.

There's also a lovely hot air balloon (that seems to be half finished and a wool basket?) and also two strange men and their pig in a heli-house.

I also noticed a lot of discarded rowboats, and that with only a few weeks until the Olympics the fucking stadium roof still isn't finished. Boris is going to have your knees, Pazman.

Well, the stadium is one of my favourite buildings in Pazland, so I've just limbered up my clicking finger and the magnificent roof now has a full set of glass panels to protect the crowds. Only took 25 minutes.

It was me, I had a spark of inspiration when I realized you could do the normal light coloured fence posts atop the darker nether fence posts.

The writable books work! Select 'book and quill' and you can carry it around and write in it. When you're done you sign it off with your name at a title and you can then place it down for others to enjoy.

A bit off topic from the server but still, I could do with some help.-

I just loaded up the Beex world backup I have, But when I converted it to anvil, almost everything was missing. All i could find was ApplePieOfAnger's lava/water house thing. All the other chunks seem to have been reset. Any idea on how to fix this?

Folks! We need to name the streets in the city! I've put a few signs up...

For consistency, we should aim to put a sign on every intersection and only change the names of streets where they actually end. That way streets won't change names halfway along.

EDIT: So, the main long road east and west is 'Main Street E' and "Main Street W' respectively. The main road north from the spawn is Paz Blvd. The U-shaped road around the spawn building is 'Spawn Gardens' and the road south to the casino is Park Place. There's a few others but that's about it.

The general standard I came up with for the signs is:
-sign on a pole or building edge three blocks high
-sign within two or three blocks of a corner of the intersection
-as in real life, sign is readable if you're standing on the road itself, or in other words it's perpendicular to the direction the road goes in (or in other other words, you can only read the Main Street W signs from the north or south)

This is easier seen in person. Have fun!
